Because there’s money at stake for a lot of other Christian groups. In the creedist defense what else are they supposed to do? Just allow their congregations to lose memberships or have their buildings close down? Pastor McGriddle and his friends needs those donations and some leaders or their adherents will be deceptive or mindlessly repeat falsehoods about the Church which are often debunked by a Google search. Nearly half of the Church of Jesus Christ is made up of converts that come from creedal traditions. So of course they can’t just be cool with it. People celebrate because Christianity has stabilized in its numbers. But it’s *only* just stabalized and it doesn’t ignore the decades of decline that some of them will feel for a long time if they manage to not close their churches.

hey Creedalists? answer me something here. if you genuinely think the LDS faith is so wrong and seemingly not true, why do you waste so many hours attacking it like your life depends on it? who wastes time hating something they claim to not be true? who wastes time commenting that someone is "not Christian" just because they refuse to affirm a man-made document that isn't even Biblical? yes, you heard me. the Creeds are not Biblical. they were a political stunt several centuries after Christ was resurrected, made in an attempt to maintain control of people who kept having dissenting and misaligned views with one another the Book of Mormon, however, draws many direct references to things found in the Bible and affirms them completely. I dare-say the Book of Mormon teaches of Christ MORE times than the Bible does, and the Bible already does that plenty of times (which y'all would know if you actually read it like latter-day saints do) The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's truly, fully restored Church on this Earth, and no amount of screaming and false gatekeeping is going to change that. good day to all of you and happy Sunday

I’d argue it’s the most genuine Christian group in relation to the primitive church out of all of them. Protestantism by default is a non-starter series of small cults ruled by various interpretations of the Bible as the sole and final authority, which the Bible itself doesn’t even teach.

No. I respect your question. The Mormon faith is its own religion not Christianity, it’s Mormonism. This is a completely different faith than having only faith in Christ and in His word only which is the Bible. The Bible teaches one God operating in three offices within the Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In Matthew 3:17 the Heavenly Father speaks from heaven His pleasure in His beloved Son Jesus Christ who filled that position of the Godhead while the Holy Spirit descended like a dove. Truly our Heavenly Father was well pleased in His Son Jesus Christ who filled that position of the God head and made the pathway complete whereby man can have a way back to the Father. Jesus said I and My Father are one.
Bryan Lords@BryanLords

@_BrettRyanMusic @jared_shult I respect your opinions on my faith, and I don’t expect to change your mind and you likely won’t change mine, but may I ask a question? Matthew 3:17 “And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Is God speaking to himself?

BREAKING: This is the chaotic scene where 20-year-old Kaydence Carpenter allegedly drove her Tesla into a crowd that was surrounding her car in Lexington, Kentucky early Sunday morning. Reports are that she injured 4 people. She faces 4 counts of second-degree assault, DUI and reckless driving. Many responses think what she did was warranted.

The veneration of Mary & the trinity are orthodox and of the early church. They predate modern Catholicism which is a second millennium invention. Evangelicals and many Protestants have Christian derangement syndrome. Anything truly Christian they automatically associate with the rcc, when it isn’t. And they blaspheme it. This is in part due to Rome’s false claims as the ‘original’ church. Yes Rome was part of the early church but innovated itself away from it.

Your insistence that 2 Samuel 12:8 contains “no blessing on plural marriages” is demonstrably incorrect because God, through Nathan, explicitly includes giving David his master’s wives as part of the divine blessings He poured out on him, alongside the kingdoms of Israel and Judah. The “husband of one wife” phrase in 1 Timothy 3:2 is a leadership qualification for overseers and deacons in the early church, stressing exemplary fidelity, NOT a universal prohibition proving polygamy is always sinful, especially given God’s prior blessing and regulation of it for faithful patriarchs. Personal attacks calling me a liar or Joseph Smith is your own failure to engage the biblical evidence and only highlights your reliance on tradition over sola scriptura, because *no verse* explicitly condemns plural marriage as inherently immoral and has the opposite. So either you can’t read or you have no idea what you’re talking about. Either way you’re wrong.

@SolveableSea @GodlyAction You must be LDS because you're a liar. 2 Samuel 12:8 never says that there is a blessing on "plural marriages". Church leaders are prohibited from having more than one wife (1 Tim. 3:2). That proves that Joseph Smith was a false prophet. Also, he was a sexually immoral con-man.

Polygamy is supported in: - Islam - Mormonism - Other cults Not in Christianity. So if you want to have multiple wives, you know where to look and where not to look.

That *directly* contradicts 2 Samuel 12:8 where God tells David through Nathan that He gave him his master’s wives as part of His abundant blessing alongside the kingdom. The “husband of one wife” requirement in 1 Timothy 3:2 sets a standard for church leaders in the early church but does not prove polygamy is inherently sinful for all believers, especially since God blessed and regulated it for patriarchs like Abraham, Jacob, and David without ever condemning it. By that logic the Latter-Day Saint history of polygamies (which by the way hasn’t been practiced for well over 100 years) it aligns with biblical precedent far better than your tradition’s extra-biblical universal ban does.

Prohibited? It happened. And can happen again if that’s what God commands. You ignores God’s regulation and blessing of plural marriage for patriarchs like Abraham, Jacob, and David in the Old Testament and exposes Protestantism’s reliance on extra biblical traditions rather than biblical teachings.
