Few months ago when i was super anxious about creating another hit song, i said 'fuck it' 'FUCK ANOTHER HIT!' i'll just make whatever i feel like so much started happening in the world i wanted to represent the angst all young people feel about not being able to do anything this is a big 'FUCK YOU' FUCK anyone who questions the genuineness of my stories and art. i'll create what i feel like that's all that matters. If you're trying to host good parties in SF, stop reinventing the wheel from first principles > go to Berlin experience techno clubs > go to London for a warehouse rave > go to Paris, become friend with a model and end up at a house party with all their friends during fashion week > go to Burning Man, go to Seoul, go to NYC ... etc People assume it's easy to host a good party. It's very hard. Go see how experts do it

Most young, ambitious people I know struggle with committing to one path or one project. They'll work on something a few months, and then pursue the next shiny object or twitter trend This is what I recommend to get out of this loop: > boredom with your current project is not a sign you picked the wrong one. it's a sign you're at the hard part. Look up the Dunning-Kruger effect (spoiler: you are in the valley of despair) > the next shiny object will always look shinier than what you're currently building. that's just how novelty works. Stop falling for it! > read biographies of people you admire and follow closely the dates they've reached important milestones. You'll realize there are few and far between. Building something Great is 99% uneventful and boring. > Trends come and go. There is virtue in commitment. Expertise is built even when no one is paying attention to the industry you're working in. > take a chill pill. No, seriously. You are NOT falling behind. Just focus on doing what you love, do it well, and you'll be fine
