Today, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, we honour the leadership and resilience of persons with disabilities. Our #DOTGoingBeyond partner, @SongambeleO empowers and amplifies the voices of persons with disabilities to lead transformative change.

In observance of International Disability Day 2024, we celebrate Sylvia’s inspiring journey as a Youth Leader. Her achievements reflect this year’s theme, “Amplifying the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future.”

The two-day workshop aimed at uniting women with disabilities, policymakers, climate experts, and advocacy organizations from across Africa to strategize on amplifying the participation of women with disabilities in climate change adaptation and mitigation efforts.
