This “Madlanga Task Team” term is inaccurate and irresponsible. This is an SAPS task team. You’re giving the false impression that it takes instructions from the judge or commission. It doesn’t. It follows up with investigations of its own. Please guys misinformation is bad.

@SongezoZibi In conclusion, we need to redefine Going Concern for entities with a legal mandate. It’s inappropriate to qualify for factual insolvency, with commercial insolvency, yes it’s debatable, that’s why we need an independent body where the AGSA opinion can be taken on review.

The Supreme Court of Appeal has ruled that the RAF1 form is unlawful and set it aside. This means well over 200k claimants who were wrongly turned away will now have their claims properly considered in line with the RAF Act.

@SongezoZibi What other “procedures” did you perform over and above an enquiry to reach your conclusion. An audit opinion is an opinion, not a judgement from the constitutional court. A qualified opinion is a disagreement with management. Auditors were saying management must liquidate RAF.

@CtUmnz Listen, this conversation can be different and more productive if you’re prepared to not be snorty and right for its own sake. The court case in reference isn’t about contingent liabilities. That’s a different litigation, and even that I know intimately.

And the RAF’s former management were warned about this. Instead they harassed and fired the people the people who warned them. Now the taxpayers must fork out tens of billions from other pressing priorities for something preventable.

@SongezoZibi You are ignorant about the root cause of the disagreement (qualifed audit opinion) with the auditors. Being an MP doesn’t make you more knowledgeable than the ordinary folk. As law makers, yall should have did something to address the doubt relating to Going Concern.
