@NewSpareribs I'm curious, how did you use the annotations? {Word} {Date:mm/yy?}. Unsure if that's the date because "y/5" & "3/09"....

@timitious @NewSpareribs I don't think they read it end to end. The annotations have what look to be dates (dd/mm, or possibly mm/yy?). I think they are marking how often they have reviewed words / had to look it up / *other reason related to their study regimen*.

@jewboycaleb @Twisterzz296199 @the_stle1 I liked the entire book, so I am a little biased. I think all of the best arcs will begin around 3k? Volume 20 was good and volume 27 has a scene I have not forgotten. Vaguely, around 4000 is what I would call the beginning of the end. Almost a novel on it's own. Very good

Cultivation slop is just horrible, if you try really hard with the other two, you'll see some 7s and very very few 8s.. Cultivation... You're not seeing past a 7 bro

@jewboycaleb @Twisterzz296199 @the_stle1 yeah... Even in the later chapters Momo does a lot of the same plays in different settings. I think around the Shaman arc was when it started feeling different.

@wizards_friend One company we work has changed the normal case pipeline to require that the chatbot makes one for you. I had made several before where it boiled down to "escalate"/"submit a case" and it takes info. One of them it lied to me and said it made the case, when it had not. total bs

@BagreArt_ @Beesejar @the_stle1 No, that wouldn't be xianxia or wuxia. Generally solo leveling is defined by the "system". There is overlap with cns, but solo leveling doesn't go that way. The guilds,hunter rankings, and setting mark it as a Korean aligned novel, not sure the subgenre as I dont read their works

@Twisterzz296199 @the_stle1 There's one, Martial Peak, that got me hooked on wuxia. Like 6k chapters, but very good if you're in it for themes and tropes. You're courting death! I'd read the webnovel and not the comics (I started with the comic, and it was generally 1:1 with lots of info loss)

@the_stle1 But that’s the beauty of it. Cultivation slop doesn’t try to be anything more, it knows its slop and it gives you the best slop you can imagine. It’s like McDonald’s. You know you’re not getting a gourmet meal but you enjoy it anyways

@the_stle1 The Chinese stuff could be good for all I know, but any time I try looking at one it's awful machine translation, so I have no way to judge because it's unreadable as is.

@CccCcc21278348 @the_stle1 Reverend insanity is not what I would recommend to someone who hasn't read a cultivation novel before. I didn't think it was very good as it went on, though I enjoyed it at the beginning. Its probably better to start with a short wu/xianxia. Dragon prince zhou yuan comes to mind
