I accompanied my client to the EFCC for an interrogation regarding a white-collar investigation. During the interrogation, the EFCC officer asked my client, "why don't you have a SCMUL certificate?" My uncle took me in when I got my first job after NYSC. Said I'd have someone to talk to at night. Six months later I was gone. It started with a shoe. His wife was late. How do you send a woman and her three kids out at night just because a DNA test says they’re not yours? If you’re married under the Act, that’s a cr!me forceful eviction of your spouse can land you in serious trouble, you will eat two portions for two years. Yes, the DNA result is painful. But the right step is legal: file for divorce and seek compensation if necessary. Throwing them out at night is unlawful and d@ngerous. If anything happens to them, you’ll be held responsible. You’re not the first man to raise children that aren’t biologically his. Why not calm down, wait till morning, and involve her family instead of acting in anger? Hurt is valid but that kind of action isn’t.

My name is Udezue Chinedu Emmanuel, and I would like to sincerely express my profound gratitude to the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) for their outstanding intervention in resolving a long-standing issue I had with a Nigerian bank. For over seven years, my bank account was placed under a lien, which completely denied me access to my funds and affected all my accounts. During this difficult period, I was unable to carry out any banking transactions, including throughout my NYSC service year. In an attempt to seek justice, I instituted legal action against the bank, and the case lasted for approximately two years in court. Although judgment was eventually delivered in my favour, the bank failed to comply with the court’s ruling for several months afterward. Seeking further assistance, I contacted LASCOPA via email. To my surprise and relief, the Agency responded promptly, and all communications were handled professionally and efficiently through email. Thereafter, all parties involved were invited for mediation. Within less than three weeks of LASCOPA’s intervention, the matter was successfully resolved. I received the ₦2,000,000 ( Two Million Naira only) damages awarded by the court, and the bank was compelled to take corrective measures, including formally notifying other financial institutions to remove the lien placed on my accounts. Evidence of these communications was also provided. After enduring seven years of financial restriction and an additional two years of legal proceedings, I can confidently say that LASCOPA’s swift, professional, and decisive intervention brought closure to what had been a prolonged and distressing experience. I am deeply grateful to LASCOPA for their professionalism, efficiency, and unwavering commitment to protecting consumer rights. The price of fuel is heading towards N2000, and we know this was caused by the war going on between the USA, Israel, and Iran. Whenever the crude oil price goes much more than the protected benchmark in our budget, what happens is that it leads to excess funds for the government. So, let the government take that excess fund that was never budgeted for and use at least 60% to subsidise the crude being supplied to Dangote Refinery. When that is done, the cost of the feedstock to Dangote Refinery will reduce, and this will result in the gantry price of petrol reducing. - TUC President Festus Osifo urges the federal government to use excess crude revenue to subsidise local refineries

To the Federal Road Safety Corps Nigeria I renewed my car papers with FRSC, and somehow my car colour was changed from BLACK to GOLD in the Vehicle License. My car has always been black. I have never changed the colour. Even my expired paper clearly shows black, so I don’t understand how this kind of mistake even happened. Since then, I’ve been going back and forth trying to correct it, but it’s always one excuse or the other. They keep saying it’s difficult to change, yet it was somehow easy to change it wrongly in the first place. Because of this error, it always turns into harassment and extortion every time police checks my papers on the road, and I’m the one paying for a mistake I didn’t make. This has caused me serious stress and wasted my time and money. It’s unfair. FRSC, please fix this, I’m honestly tired and disappointed. © Correct Bro

Consumer Complaint Resolution Report Mrs. Esther Olasantan, a businesswoman from Isolo Community, Lagos State, purchased a carton of fish on January 30, 2026. Upon reporting the issue to the cold room management, she was informed that neither a refund nor a replacement would be provided for the damaged goods. Subsequently, she was referred to the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA), Ikeja Office for intervention. The General Manager of LASCOPA, Mr. Afolabi Solebo Esq., invited the cold room management for a mediation meeting. Following deliberations and resolution of the matter, the cold room management agreed to refund the sum of ₦180,000, being the cost of the fish, and an additional ₦20,000 as compensation to Mrs. Olasantan.
