Alabama has officially hired former Oklahoma defensive analyst Trent Simpson to serve as the assistant defensive line coach.
Interestingly enough, Simpson is a former Jacksonville State baseball player and native of Oxford, Alabama.
He originally signed to play football at Mississippi State coming out of high school.
