@AltnextSummit @runwayml Yeah there's definitely less control overall at the moment for small tweaks once you reach the animation stage. I think of it more like stop motion in that way, once the animation is done you fix in post or reanimate.

@Soulmotionlabs @runwayml Makes sense, but in traditional pipelines control comes from separating stages like storyboard, layout, animation. Here it’s all in one system. Curious if that means small changes force you to rework everything instead of tweaking one layer?

@AltnextSummit @runwayml Yes essentially. The beauty of these new models is you can still create and use traditional storyboards/animatics etc. We need as much control as we can get for ai to be a proper tool for animation. It's definitely pretty much there.

@Soulmotionlabs @runwayml This feels closer to previs pipelines in Pixar or DreamWorks, where everything is blocked before final polish. The difference is you’re collapsing previs and final output into one step. Does that reduce exploration, or just shift it into prompt design?

@The_Genesis_0 I was also laid off after 25 years in the industry. Do whatever you need to do to survive.

I lost my 3D/VFX job contract to AI. The only thing I've ever gained as a reward for being a 3D Artist, why? Because AI is faster than I am. Should I keep fighting it while I starve to death or embrace it so I can compete? Cause studios prefer fast & cheap route over quality.

Quick test of some workflows in @runwayml Seedance really did change the game for animation...
