@ThompsonFoto12 Girls that are from other districts that decide to go to GCC. Not a transfer but you have to admit they can get those type of players. Gribble who might win the best player in state lives in Norwin.

Best coach in WPIAL/PIAA GBB. Not sure if Bryan is content in HS, but wouldn’t it be interesting to see him develop and coach a college team? Either way, he’s the standard and the SF GBB program is the standard to be and beat. What a run. It’s funny looking back at all their WPIAL championships. His daughter was a baby in the first win. Now she’s a little girl. #WPIAL #PIAA

@ThompsonFoto12 He is a good coach but he always gets really good talent that TRANSFERS in. I would like to see him coach a team without a lot of talent. Probably will still be good but not like he is now.

@LCSportsNet It's just stupid... and now instead of clean playoff qualifiers (i.e. top 4 from ea of 2 conf) they'll have to leave it up to a wildcard system that's flawed.

Somebody will need to explain to us why a four-game conference schedule is preferable to a seven-game conference schedule. WPIAL 4A football is about to be really silly when over half of your season doesn’t count towards playoff qualification.

Daylight Saving Time is hilarious when you think about it. Humans: “Let’s move the clocks forward so we get more daylight.” The sun: literally ignores us and rises at the same time it always would. All we actually accomplish is losing an hour of sleep and confusing everyone for a week. How this is still a thing in 2026 is beyond me.

@wpialsportsnews @NKetnay You might want revisit the 5A playoff structure. 12 teams make it w/ 3 wildcards and Bethel Park is not only going to make it, but they'll also likely get a 1st round home playoff game as the 7 or 8 seed when you look at how weak the 3rd place teams are in the other conferences.

It’s possible but they would be at the mercy of the committee with trying to figure out who has the best losses as compared to the best wins. The 6A seneca valley win, the 4A Trinity win and the 5A South Fayette win is the resume they are going into the meeting with Serious question Ben …. Do you feel good about that resume?

This kid is Having a legendary season running the ball week after week against the top teams in the area. This week is most likely his last high school game as the playoff hopes for Bethel look bleak but regardless lets celebrate this kid for the season he had For Bethel to make the playoff they need a win over Peters and they need Upper St Clair to lose to Baldwin. The Baldwin thing over the U ain’t going to happen so let’s enjoy David Dennison one last time.

As great as the Pete is, I gotta say I'm in favor of moving this game back to Duquesne. We're a half hour from tip and there's really not that many people in here at all. Maybe it'll fill out a bit, but I think packing Duquesne would make this atmosphere incredible.

If Aliquippa were a largely white, affluent school district I don't know if this would be happening. The inability of the PIAA to understand the challenges of stable housing for some of Aliquippa's kids and their family obstacles is appalling.

@mwhiteburgh Great job PIAA…. Now the unintended consequence of this rule means that schools will need to consider cutting kids from the team who are transfers but not starters 🤷‍♂️

At Aliquippa's appeal hearing with PIAA, football coach Mike Warfield showed stats of how five transfers had almost nothing to do with team's success. Over past two seasons, 5 transfers contributed one touchdown, 4 rushing yards and 136 passing yards.
