@sewateruk @Ofwat Why , when the whole of the south has the same weather is Kent the only area with shortages ? I am sure other areas use the water.
English

We’re incredibly sorry for the historical water supply disruptions our customers faced between 2020-23. This wasn't the service you deserve.
We’ve worked with @Ofwat to finalise a £30.5m package to invest directly back into our network & communities.

@jwm1891 Hi,
I can confirm, exemptions are sometimes put in place for a business because restrictions could severely impact their daily operations and livelihood. However, we do ask them all to be as water-efficient as possible to help us protect our local water resources.
Thanks Rosie
English

@sewateruk Thanks for the reply, related, how many hand car washes and house builders are there consuming significant volumes of water every day in the Wokingham area? Here’s a photo from the last 24 hours with a developer ignoring the Red warning. Or maybe it’s only Red for homeowners

English

@sewateruk thanks for your patronising email about limiting water use. How come there are leaks reported in our area that aren’t fixed yet? If you were that focused on saving water you’d invest more in responding to these incidents faster than 19 days and counting

English

@knobsandnumpti1 @MartinSLewis However to allow me to look into this for you. please private message us and provide your account number and full address (including postcode) and also your date of birth.
Thanks Rosie.
English

@sewateruk @MartinSLewis I’ve tried! Even suggested a meter so you can track non-use for the next couple of months to allow back recalculation but apparently it doesn’t work like that!!
English

@MartinSLewis how can a water company charge £1000 for water at an empty property, and for months into 2027. Charges of standing costs and based on single occupancy. There has been no occupancy @sewateruk
English

@knobsandnumpti1 @MartinSLewis Hi,
Unfortunately, we cannot install a temporary meter. In order for us to install a permanent meter to record your usage, the correct, permanent pipework must be fully in place first.
English

@Rugmeister78 We also build restrictions directly into these commercial setups so we can choose to limit their water supply if it ever risks dropping the pressure for local homes.
Thanks Rosie
English

@sewateruk
Thanks but no thanks!
Investigate Amazon human surveillance data centres consuming 100 million gallons pure water every day…
English

@Rugmeister78 Hi Lee,
Taps at home will always be our absolute priority over any commercial site. While the law requires water companies to connect non-household premises like data centres, we model the hydraulic demand beforehand to ensure existing residents aren't impacted.
English

@MarkrStyles Hi Mark,
Our out of hours emergency number is: 0333 000 0365. However to allow me to look into this for you, can you please follow this link and provide your account number and full address (including postcode) and also your date of birth.
Thanks Rosie. x.com/messages/compo…
English

@sewateruk You advertise a 24/7 0800 number for priority services. I just rang it and it’s is closed for the weekend! This is not what 24/7 means. I am registered. Am in Canterbury area. Neighbours have just had a water delivery but missed me out. Wondering why?
English

@bentleykarl Hi Karl,
I can confirm, we have more staff than ever finding and fixing leaks! In total, we have 400 people working on repairing leaks when they are reported, with a further 101 technicians searching for and finding leaks proactively.
Thanks Rosie.
English

@sewateruk Why? And why does it appear that you've allowed the number of leaks to increase recently?
English

@JimHigham Hi Jim,
I'm sorry to hear this leak has been going on for so long.
I can confirm, our technicians visited the site and found no noise or peak when correlated. Water tests also confirm this is not our water.
I hope this helps.
Thanks, Rosie
English

@sewateruk This leak in the middle of Downs road has by ongoing for many months and most definitely hasn’t been fixed or gone away. Two potholes remain very wet indeed and a danger to traffic. Please explain.

English

@andreac14064810 Hi Andrea,
To allow me to look into this for you, can you please provide your account number and full address (including postcode) and also your date of birth.
Thanks Rosie. x.com/messages/compo…
English

@sewateruk so my household of two adults have not increased our use yet my bill has gone up a lot I understand price increases but not this much , is it to top up your CEO bonus I’d hazard a guess at this , we work so not home all day drink bottled water greed
English

@SpringerDee To allow me to look into this for you, can you please provide your account number and full address (including postcode) and also your date of birth. Alternatively, can you please provide the location of this leak.
Thanks Rosie.
English

@sewateruk No sign of your expert technicians yet but still the water floweth!
English

@sewateruk I reported a water leak this morning - a lot of water is flowing from our water meter down the footpath and along the road. I've received no update nor can I see the reported leak on Aqualerter. Given current concerns re water wastage please respond urgently.
English

@carolhibbert51 @Ofwat Im so sorry to hear you have not heard a response in regards to your query. To allow me to look into this for you, can you please follow this link and provide your account number and full address (including postcode) and also your date of birth.
Thanks Rosie. x.com/messages/compo…
English

@sewateruk @Ofwat I’m still waiting for my “ enquiry into my 4 days with no water “ it’s been referred on - bills keep coming
English

@carolhibbert51 @Ofwat I completely understand your frustration regarding the recent interruptions to your water supply. To allow me to look into this for you, can you please follow this and provide your account number and full address (including postcode) and also your date of birth.
Thanks Rosie. x.com/messages/compo…
English

@sewateruk @Ofwat £50 offered where ur terms say £50 for each 12 hours ! But south east water feel this was adequate - still Jo reply
English

@WilliamofKent @Ofwat We are completely focused on making things better. We are accelerating our engineering works and making operational changes to improve our network's resilience, increase water capacity, and manage the challenges of climate change and population growth.
Thanks Rosie.
English

@sewateruk @Ofwat Yes, but the last year has been even worse, hasn't it?
English

@SiWheeler78 @Ofwat Although no resignations have followed, I can assure you we are completely focused on enhancing our services for you. We are making major improvements to how we communicate and support our communities during incidents.
Thanks Rosie.
English

@sewateruk @Ofwat “Ofwat found that the company failed to communicate clearly and accurately with customers in a timely manner and did not provide all affected customers with adequate bottled water supplies”. What resignations have followed in Customer Services and Comms Teams? Or is it same old?
English

@gary_thecat @Ofwat Of course, we unreservedly apologise to any of our customers who have recently experienced an interruption to their water supply. To protect your water supply, we are investing record amounts into upgrading our network and building new water sources.
Thanks Rosie.
English

@sewateruk @Ofwat What about 2024-26? Are you sorry for those disruptions too?
English

@SiWheeler78 @Ofwat We are always working closely with Ofwat to ensure we provide the best possible service to our communities.
Please also be assured that we continue to meet the required investment grade credit ratings with our rating agencies, fully satisfying the terms of our license.
Rosie
English

@sewateruk @Ofwat Why does your entire release fail to cover the fact that you have been heavily cricised for customer services failings. Why mislead consumers, when @Ofwat are clear that it also covers failings in customer services and the fact you don’t satisfy credit ratings terms of license?
English

@SiWheeler78 @Ofwat We are always working closely with Ofwat to ensure we provide the best possible service to our communities.
Please also be assured that we continue to meet the required investment grade credit ratings with our rating agencies, fully satisfying the terms of our license.
Rosie
English

@MrPeterVernon2 @Ofwat I can assure you that any financial penalties we receive are not reflected on our customers bills.
However to make sure we continue to invest in making your drinking water supply more reliable, we are required to increase investment and therefore prices.
Thanks Rosie.
English

@sewateruk @Ofwat That your customers are going to have to pay for. You make it sound like it's coming out of your pocket.
