I’m not trying to hurt any Gen X feelings with this, but we as a society have GOT to chill with the Journey music. They were on 3 stations at the same time today. It’s been 40 years. Move on already.

Japan needs Canadian crude oil, but can’t get it. Why? There’s no additional export capacity. That’s why Japan is making rare purchases of crude from Mexico.

The Year is 1622 Virginia is finally becoming prosperous thanks to the "stinking weed", tobacco. There's peace with the natives, also thanks to John Rolfe, who married Pocahontas The settlers think they can convert the Indians to Christianity, and so welcome them into their homes, settlements, and plantations as friends rather than avowed enemies And then on March 22, the Indians treacherously breach the peace. Taking advantage of the settlers' hospitality and wish to convert them, they fan out across the settlements and enter the homes of those who think them friends. And then, all at once, they strike and kill those friends. They kill men, women, and children alike, and wipe out a third of the colony in one devastating stroke Yet Virginia survived, and by the time the war ended ten years later, had effectively ended the Indian threat in the Tidewater for good But conversion and friendship were forever off the table as a general thing after this point, as the treachery had been stunning, and that mistake was not to be repeated

I'm in India right now, in one of the country’s most educated and progressive regions, and this is front-page news in a major newspaper there about its engineering grads. Indians themselves have been openly sounding the alarm for years about their own so-called "talent," while Canadian policymakers, in their infinite wisdom, continue insisting we simply need more of it. The folks who've arrived in Canada recently in the hundreds of thousands are not even from this part of India but from a more backward region with poor socio economic outcomes. The disconnect would be amusing if the policy consequences weren’t so serious.

Probably the weirdest thing about Ontario and Atlantic Canadian politics is how their conservative politicians never do or say anything conservative ever.

BREAKING: A Presidential permit has been approved for a new bitumen pipeline that will initially deliver more than half a million barrels per day of Alberta oil to facilities and refineries throughout the United States. This project is a joint venture between two great Canadian and US companies South Bow and Bridger using existing assets. After years of advocacy from our government, and following the signing of the Canada-Alberta Energy Agreement last year, the federal government has lifted their oil and gas production cap. This means Alberta producers will be able to produce more of the oil that the world needs. It’s incredible to see that work already paying off with announcements like this. The US is our most important trading partner and we will continue to deliver energy to help secure North American energy dominance.

@njhhiggy3 @ABDanielleSmith Get real. You people always gave a pass to Obama and Biden for cancelling Keystone XL twice. That was a bigger blow to Canada than anything Trump has done.

@ABDanielleSmith Maybe this is good news for Alberta, but why are we still kissing up to the U.S. and Trump after the shameful and disgusting way Trump has treated Canada. We need new markets for our oil NOT more USA. Trump has cost the world BILLIONS of $ with his personal Iran war.
