Could somebody explain why US women behave like this? Never heard anything similar in EU. Windows and Android here are common options for people who want to customize their tech. Which is more common among men. iPhone/Mac are seen as non-techie options. Women don't like nerds?

@PierreTerdiman Exactly! I started to hate that expression, since if we look around, there are tens or even hundreds of different wheel types... So yes, it needs to be reinvented sometimes.

@SebAaltonen @AntonMigulko I mean... If the goal is to make the driver enjoy the ride more, using vibrations, I think there are other, well tested methods to do that ;-)

@AntonMigulko There are significantly better ways to transfer information to the driver than fake vibration.

The UAE announced the formation of a Supreme Space Council to oversee the nation's space sector. With recent achievements like @NASA's Gateway Project to the creation of @space42, the council will help ensure the growth of an already robust space sector. uaeinusa.co/4h1Lh3b

@FreyaHolmer In one form another yes... However it's still very annoying that macOS is stuck in pre-compute shader version... But at least there's Vulkan with Moltenvk :)

I did intentionally avoid it for Shapes back when I started it because I didn't want to restrict functionality by platform, but I'm pretty sure StructuredBuffer and compute is supported on *most* things these days right?

"naive" is a weird word bc you're supposed to spell it "naïve" but then it kinda looks a little too pretentious for my vibe but if I just write "naive" then some people think it's a typo for "native" because the sentences in which I use it often work either way

@paul_snively I disagree :) IMHO git is good because it's simple and powerful, once you understand how it works. I had a lot of issues with it at the beginning, but now I love it. Granted, I used only cvs, subversion and some other commercial software I already forgot as alternative

@Jonathan_Blow @ComputerMouth Sweden has one of the highest game developers per capita, and unions are strong here (after a certain size companies NEED to have unions by law)

@ComputerMouth Unionization would just drive your company out of business faster and ensure there are fewer overall jobs total. As it has done elsewhere.

It's been a difficult year for the game industry but I'd guess we are < 1/4 of the way through the current layoff wave. If you work in games, the best way to deal is just to be excellent. Even if your company goes down, you'll be first hired elsewhere. gamesindustry.biz/over-6000-game…

At Ubisoft/RedLynx (2015) we developed a new ECS system for our new engine. It had super nice query API. The implementation was a massively complex variadic template monster. Only a few people in the studio could maintain it. Debugging it was hard. Compile time slow. Thread...

At HypeHype we are pushing unfinished features directly to dev branch behind feature flags. This improves iteration time compared to long lasting branches, and avoids regressions when people land their long lasting branches at the same time (never cross testing them).
