What a view! Great to see @capellaspace's satellites settling into orbit nicely just a few days after their ride to space on Electron. #StrongerTogether

A #selfie from space with a view! First phase of satellite ops underway on our newly launched satellites. Boom deployment complete. This 3m arm is the length of a minivan and sets the stage for reflector deployment. More to come! #SAR #Satellite #Space #Earth

@AstroDad6 @capellaspace The deployment of a large-ish mass imparts momentum which is then quickly compensated for by the attitude control system (all very normal control system stuff)

@capellaspace current minivans are generally about 5 meters long.
(very old) 1966 vw type 2 - 4.3 meters
chrysler pacifica - 5.1 meters
renault espace 5 - 4.9 meters
dodge caravan fifth gen - 5.1 meters
3 meters are 9.84252 feet
3 meters are 118.1102 inches
precision is important in space.

@mouthofmorrison Kind of like the signs I see at bars: “Free beer (data) tomorrow”
English

@mouthofmorrison I would rephrase that: Capella delivers data now. Umbra delivers data in the future.

It’s pretty simple: you can either build for the past or for the future. spacenews.com/satellite-rada…

Last Thursday, two more satellites were added to the Capella constellation and we're excited to report they are happy, healthy, and sending down beautiful imagery from two different @unescowhc sites in South America. More details on each 👇

@JeffCrusey Their next slide (same public deck) shows revisit (average) in minutes as a function of satellite number. At a high level, those apply to all of the providers more or less the same (given that none of the listed providers are focused on 'unusual orbits'). ??? What gives?

Why, yes, that *is* a framed SAR image of Monterey taken by @capellaspace. Now that is some serious swag.

Windfarm or missile silo? We used our radar satellites to image what’s underneath the mysterious tents in Gansu Province, China from last week’s @washingtonpost exclusive. Analysis by @TheIntelLab

6/ What can you spot from space? Here is a floating solar farm with several arrays designed in the shape of a fish at the floating #solar farm in Tiangang Lake, China — Another example of 50cm x 50cm SAR imagery illuminating the world’s #cleanenergy projects.

4/ Our #SAR imagery of the Aksum Airport in the Tigray region of Ethiopia reveals 23 trenches dug by TPLF forces rendering the runway unusable after the federal military captured the city. Notice the bright radar signals indicating runway damage and debris contrasting the tarmac.

2/ If you’ve seen our Stripmap images on social media, get ready for even higher levels of detail and clarity in our images. Take China’s Jiuquan #Satellite Launch Center, where you can zoom in to see crisp SAR images of the rockets on the pads with unprecedented sharpness.
