@Double_Buckets @MovieFlameProd Why are you acting like Amon changed the entire rules of blood bending rather than being the literal only exception. Blood bending is rarer than most but it’s no different that metal or lightning bending. Your problem isn’t “lazy writing” it’s a nostalgia bubble.

@SpadesXll @MovieFlameProd Yeah, Amon being "just that guy" is lazy storytelling . Bloodbending "Just one person under a full moon" to "anytime, anywhere, and multiple people" is a huge jump in power.
Zuko losing his bending is something I love about the original series. Korra's was not told as well.

Book 1 - Insanely good and everyone forgets because the other seasons weren't on the same level
Book 3 - Zaheer carried, best villain in the show
Book 4 - Just okay and far below books 1 & 3
Book 2 - Not good... It killed every past Avatar and opened the spirit world, meaning they took away the two points of the Avatar: Having their past lives and being the bridge between man and spirit

Also blood bending has ALWAYS been that strong, the literal only things making it balanced are the fact that you needed a full moon and the avatar existing. Amon was a rare exception to the moon

@MovieFlameProd Not insanely good. Making blood bending that strong is a low hanging fruit for power crawl that was so well done in ATLA. Bending was generally detached from its behavioral and psychological underpinnings which is what made it unique and dynamic initially. Characters were bland

You know, I don't mean to try and sound rude, but a lot these criticisms I see about Korra scream to me the specific problem these people have is that the world just...evolved.
Seeing how metalbending took off after Toph discovered it is just so cool to observe with Korra.

This scene is a good example of my issue with metalbending in Korra. In the original series, Toph had to be in physical contact with the metal, because it was much harder to bend than actual earth, because she was bending the impurities within it. Meanwhile, the metal bending in Korra is basically the opposite, they actually bend with far more precision than anyone bends earth with, which doesn't make any sense. It's kinda in the same vein as the lavabending, where instead of applying any actual logic to it, they treated the bending as pure sorcery. Korra doesn't learn it from anyone, she just has it, because she has more Bending Midiclorians than everyone else, I guess.

Hi, I was one of the four people.
Of course we all wanted the show to look as polished as possible. There just wasn't enough time or manpower. Best I could do is add some lighting/shadow work to 1-2 sequences per episode since they're 40-55 minutes.
We did our best 🫰

@BobbensArtDen It could just be genetic. Same way some of us go bald or grey much sooner than other do. Thragg is shown as the apex for the viltrumites anyway so it would make sense that it follows through appearance wise as well as strength.

I think the show's version of the Scourge Virus might effect how some Viltrumites age cause Thragg is older than Nolan but hasn't aged in almost 1000 years.

I never said there is a problem with the altered person, but that realistically anyone who goes through this or any other accident that causes a unwanted physcial change would want to know if there was a way to reverse it.

No one’s saying you wouldnt love your partner regardless, but pretending that the person it’s actually affecting wouldn’t want to go back to normal is weird and unrealistic.

@SpadesXll @MidLifeVirus @ma1ybe I'm more interested in knowing that my partner is still alive and breathing, I couldn't care less if suddenly their face became swollen from a medical condition that altered the look of their face, they are still beautiful to me. Lots of medical conditions out there incurable.
