I don't like that expression! Come on, there was so much concern about the Voice rising on the right even before the decision that if the Coalition had backed it many people on the right would have said "why are the Coalition backing this instead of opposing it?" There would never have been Coalition unity on backing or anything near it.

@Spandex_Pod I don't believe that at all and indeed I think that if the Coalition had supported the Voice then a big chunk of their voting base would have crossed over to ON sooner. And also that it still would have lost, though much less heavily.
