So today was the first time in my life that I was convinced that my school was about to get destroyed by a tornado with my students and I still inside. We got so insanely lucky. Not gonna lie, it was pretty terrifying.

@KySportsRadio I teach high school, I love my kids and they love me, but I see how stressed out they all are and I can tell you- they’re ready to be DONE with high school and move on to the next chapter 🤷‍♀️

@KySportsRadio Uhhh... that’s so cute that y’all are assuming that high school seniors are going to want to attend high school for an extra year, ensure the insane amount of academic stress, the classmates/teachers that they may or may not hate JUST for sports. 🤣🤣🤣

1. I’m so blessed to work for someone who understands and acknowledges this! 2. After realizing how stressed my Ss already over over Schoology, I’m scrapping my lesson plan for today and going *Almost* Schoology free and having fun with our learning. Relationships > rigor 😎

I feel for our teachers & students. As kids sit there quietly, distanced, behind masks and partitions... it’s hard to generate the same energy in the classroom. It’s hard to have the same engagement & rapport. I know it’s what is necessary for school right now. It’s just hard.
