you can ship a great novel without knowing music. you can ship a great song without writing code. you can ship a great film without owning a server. games are the only thing humans make that requires all of it: code, art, music, performance, multiplayer presence, all working in perfect harmony. one of them off by a hair, the whole thing collapses. this is why games are the hardest creative form humans have ever attempted, and why making a tool that lets anyone create them has been the graveyard of two decades of attempts. and they're about to be the medium AI makes ten times bigger than they already are. i've spent years arriving at the same answer to the question of what's left for humans after AI absorbs the practical economy. the emails write themselves. the analyses generate themselves. the code writes itself. what's left for humans is creation for and with other humans. and within creation, games most of all. games are the only medium that manufactures purpose and community as a byproduct of being played. write a book and you have a book. ship a game and you have a goal someone wants to chase and a reason for them to call their friends. that's the thing AI can't take from us. as more of life gets automated, the appetite for it is going to be enormous. i'm building Spawn for that medium. and i can tell you exactly why most of the AI game companies you've heard of are already structurally capped: the bar for "good enough" is all of them in perfect harmony: the code holding, the art landing, the music selling the moment, the performance feeling alive, the multiplayer staying in sync. anything short and the magic dies. you don't get partial credit in games. an indie developer who has shipped three games walks into Spawn. she wants a console. she wants to see the data layout of every entity. she wants to write her own physics solver if she feels like it. when she hits the edge of what Savi understands, she wants to drop into code and finish the job herself. a chat box that hides the engine from her is a toy. she's not the majority of Spawn's users, but the product fails if it doesn't hold her. a 42-year-old dad uploads a donut he generated last night. it's beautiful. a million triangles, every sprinkle perfect. of course he wants it in his daughter's tea party game. of course it should run on his old Alienware laptop. of course it should run on her iPad too. in any existing game engine, he'd be told to optimize his mesh, learn polygon budgets, and probably give up on multiplayer. that's the old world. our job is to make him right in the new one. these two users want opposite things. add a code editor and you lose the dad. hide the engine and you lose the developer. this is what Savi is for: an AI co-author who speaks magic with the dad and writes physics with the developer, on the same engine, in the same product. Savi comes with her own problem. she'll write you a perfect physics handler one minute and confidently reference a character that doesn't exist the next. every game has to ship correctly despite her. and when something lags in Spawn, the player doesn't blame their connection. they don't blame their hardware. they don't blame Savi. they don't even know who to blame. they blame Spawn. because Spawn is the engine, the multiplayer, the deploy, the AI, the host. there is no developer between us and the player. when anything is slow, that's our problem by definition. we are now responsible for every millisecond on Earth. each of these alone is a multi-billion-dollar problem that some company is dedicating itself to solving. we're solving all of them at the same time, because you cannot have one without the others. most of the products that let you make games with AI today are chat strapped onto Unity, or a chat box wrapping three.js into a single HTML file. fast to demo, structurally incapable of the medium. you cannot make the next League of Legends inside an HTML file. so we've taken every primitive of what makes a game engine work (rendering, physics, netcode, asset pipelines, scripting, deployment) and reimagined each one with an AI as the customer instead of a human engineer. every game engine that exists was built for a person at a desk. Spawn was built for Savi. we've rebuilt Spawn from scratch three times. across the journey we've written and deleted 400,000 lines of code. you don't do that unless you're insane enough to. my most important job is finding the rest of the people who are. every dev on the Spawn team is losing sleep over a problem nobody has ever solved before, and stubborn enough to keep pushing on it every day. @onirenaud maintains three.js. he knows exactly where its ceilings are because he built them. @TheNetCodeGuy has shipped multiplayer infrastructure for two decades; he knows exactly where it breaks at scale because he's been the one fixing it at 3am. @TAbrodi is crazy enough to take on an entire industry's worth of knowledge by himself, building the asset pipeline that makes music, models, textures, and every other input to a game just work. @thestonechat is 20, an OG of this whole thing, and crazy enough to have bet on this team before it was a team you'd bet on. they could be anywhere. they're here because this is where the medium is getting built. and Spawn is live. we have a dedicated and growing group of superfans, many of them spending 40+ hours a week in Spawn because they can't put it down. the Discord is teaching itself in public. when we sit a new user down with Spawn for the first time, they don't just enjoy it. they come back to every jam. they tell us it changed their life. they build things we didn't know our own platform could build. film chemistry disappeared into TikTok. HTML disappeared into Instagram. the engineering of games is about to disappear into Spawn. what's left, once the tools stop fighting the creator, is taste, voice, and the joy of making something with another person.

Make your way through The Sovereign's dungeon for a way to break your curse.. Features two LLM based characters which can help you on your journey, and that you can talk to directly! Alongside: 3 premade characters. A way to make your own character by asking the CDN to make a portrait for you and allocate your own stats! Inventory and gear system, with enemy drops and random events! 7 floors to go through, with many different enemy combinations with their own mechanics, 7 unique bosses and OST! And you can play version 1.0 now on Spawn!

being able to Create whatever you imagine is the Future and @spawn Covers this on the gaming aspect So well! in Marrow a phycological/horror action game i vibe coded there is a moment in game where you have to pass a narrow Strip full with zombies while identifying who are the walkers and who are the watchers. All of this was created in engine without the need of any external resources isn't this crazy ??

Patch Notes V1 for Dust and Glory : Dust and Glory its a re-creation of the OG Swords and Sandals that i made in around 2 weeks, solo, vibe-coding it on @spawn with no money needed D&G it's built entirely on HTML which limited me a lot in terms of animations and what made Swords and Sandals so good Although i'd say its pretty creative the work-around i found so far for the current animations PS: I will keep working on them, and keep working on making Dust and Glory more juicy With that being said, here are the fixes i did so far: ✦Fixed the intro song not being played once entering the tutorial fight ✦Fixed a bug where you would land directly in the city instead of the title screen ✦Fixed a multi-bug where there was no music in the title screen ✦Fixed the Boo- sound FX being played in the tutorial level ✦Fixed the casino's UI elements ✦Added a voice to the Gobblin in the casino as well as for all other shops As you read already today's post is about Dust and Glory rather than the #vibejam game (Prison Realms) Thank you for interacting with this post

Day 10 of #vibejam Added a merchant from which you can buy stuff like food, pickaxes, crates keys and such Thanks to the LLM in engine system you can also ask him stuff like "What do you think i need?" It will take a look at your inventory and balance and will respond accordingly Aaand can also comment on what you buy based on what you buy If you keep buying bread like i did you will end up with ... this type of responses

Here's something I've been working on in the @spawn engine! I've been playing around with voxels! Right now I have dozens of blocks with custom textures, working doors, stairs, slabs and ladders! Functional torches and water and lava! (No physics just yet) You can also sprint and fly around! Plus a bonus small parkour showcase at the end that I totally didn't fail at least once, heh.
