The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Two new statues, “Jesus Christ Carrying the Cross” and “Jesus Christ in Gethsemane,” have debuted on the south side of the Salt Lake Temple. Visitors can view the statues from a distance as the statues are in an area of Temple Square still under construction.  Their placement comes at a meaningful time of year, the Easter season, which holds profound significance for Christians around the world as they commemorate the final week of Jesus Christ's life, culminating in His Resurrection. Always love to see where others served their missions. Post below when and where you served. I served from 2002-2004 in the Caracas Venezuela Mission.

It seems the more I post positive experiences about church and faith, I lose a few followers that are not LDS and gain a few more that are. Out of my 7900+ followers, over 95% are now LDS. I love reading my feed each time I look. Almost totally LDS posts.

@Latterdaytruth The beauty of the foreknowledge of God and the veil of forgetfulness is that while God knows every choice we will make, we don’t. So we are fully self determined while at the same time God can have a plan based on our choices to give us the best chance to make it home.

What do you mean when you say “God has a plan for me?” Is it predetermined?

Miracles are real! Prayers work! When we reach out to our Father in Heaven he will listen and answer. Yesterday I had an experience where only divine intervention could change the outcome. A prayer was said, an answer given and the path of a family changed. God is good!

@jmbrim3 When I am studying something I use the whiteboard to consolidate my thoughts and then take a picture to record and remember the experience.

@jmbrim3 The one we miss the most is meekness. For some reason we rarely include it though Moroni 7:44 says only the meek are acceptable before God.

@Spchedder I really like this, it’s true! Without the foundations of the others charity can not be achieved!

Of all the incredible qualities of Joseph the son of Israel who was sold into Egypt his ability to forgive may be the greatest. Next to daily repentance, daily forgiveness may be the most important skill we can acquire.

@jmbrim3 Also you can’t be a peace maker without first forgiving yourself, others, and God. Any animosity, anger, resentment, etc that remains in our hearts hinders our ability to be one and create Zion. And in order for Jesus to come again we have to be able to create Zion.

@Spchedder YES! I love this! And that you included scriptures! Thank you! I don’t remember the exact quote but I think it was President Eyring who said if you feel the spirit in your life it’s a sign you’ve been forgiven so forgive yourself!

@PetinaVox @JeanineElsholz The promises of the eternal covenant are not lost if they will choose to return. There can/will be a loss of immediate blessings and opportunities as a natural consequence of their use of agency.

@Spchedder @JeanineElsholz Thank you! More to ponder and understand. A thought. If they come back or when they do, lost opportunities are still lost, are they not? Such as marriage and children. Or other steps towards exaltation

I love this quote. If this were not the case, this life would be hopelessly unfair. It would leave our happiness and healing in the hands of others, which would be the most unfair of all... yet because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we aren't left hopeless! Our happiness isn't dependent upon others! There IS a path to PERSONAL PEACE! As I look around me at the many problems we face -- not only in each of our lives, but in the world in general, I KNOW, without ANY doubt, that Jesus Christ is the ONLY answer that will bring true peace. He is the only person that CAN make everything right in our lives. It doesn't matter what has caused the hurt, it doesn't matter what is making our heart ache, it doesn’t matter WHAT the problem is that we are currently facing, the SOLUTION is always the same! The source of RELIEF is ALWAYS Jesus Christ. What He is willing to do for each of us, personally, in a very individual way, is one of the greatest MIRACLES of His Atonement! I can't even begin to imagine facing this life without Him. As the world continues to search for answers to serious problems, those who KNOW JESUS CHRIST, really know Him, already know where to find the answers the world is seeking. As Elder Neil L. Andersen said— "As the world speaks less of Jesus Christ, let us speak more of Him! There is so much pain, so much uncertainty, so much fear, hatred, and division in the world right now— we each have such a great opportunity to help others find a place of peace, a place of hope— to help them come to Jesus Christ! He truly IS the answer so many are looking for... He is the ULTIMATE SOURCE of RELIEF. 23 more days!! #HearHim #SaintsOnX
