RPG stands for exactly what it says. It's when you assume the role of a character and play out their role in the story.
It has nothing to do with world style or combat mechanics

PlayStation is a the biggest gaming joke of 2026 so far.
Shutting down studios because they were pretending to have some "Exclusivity" framework.
Trying to block Crimson Desert from Xbox and getting "NOPED".
Monetizing their customers and bragging about it in Investor calls.
Dropping live service games that their fans DID NOT ask for.
And you have the audacity to say Xbox isn't listening to its audience?

Whether it's at home or on the go doesn't matter lol. You make it seem as if it sold like that because it's portable, explain the Wii then? Don't only backtrack to the Wii U...
As for Playstation struggling to hit double digit, what a poor excuse to use. NO console except Nintendo consistently hits double digits because that's their focus. If people weren't buying Playstation for the exclusive, wouldn't they just buy Xbox then? But they don't. Going by your logic every game on steam is struggling since there's 185M active users yet nothing cracks above 50M....

Nintendo left the dedicated home console market after the Wii U sold 12ish million units. Meanwhile, Mario Kart 8 is one of, if not the, best selling game of all time launched on that system. The Switch didn't sell for Mario Kart alone, people bought it because it also played AAA games on the go. There was a value prop there other than exclusive games. With the Mario movies, they may get kids interested, but kids also have limited buying power and they need the adult market too.
As for PlayStation, if the studio shut downs, focus on live service games and the announcement of one tentpole single player game per year isn't enough, the fact that PlayStation struggles to hit double digit millions on their exclusives with an established base of 80+ million consoles is a HUGE red flag

300 old ass games and throwing in EA play is laughable, if the tiers were that interesting more people would be signing up. In reality, subscription models are half assed on both sides, for the most part they share the same library and are mostly old games you likely bought on sale. 🤷🏽♂️

I think the idea is that if there are a lot of banger Day 1 releases, they may entice more people to sign up for Game Pass.
But what do I know, I've just been involved in consumer and business electronics sales and services for 25 years and keep saying exclusives don't sell consoles anymore while pointing out evidence for my position.
