🚨🚨 $ASTS Ligado & AST - FCC Docket SAT-MOD-20251206-00374 This document outlines a request for additional technical information related to Ligado Networks Subsidiary LLC's modification application to operate Mobile Satellite Service (MSS) on AST & Science LLC’s constellation of NGSO satellites. The undersigned parties believe the current technical data is insufficient to independently assess potential interference from the SkyTerra Next NGSO system to other L-band operations. The request includes details about general assumptions, methodology, frequency plan, satellite downlink emissions, and user equipment uplink emissions. The parties have shared these questions with the FCC's Space Bureau staff and AST and are prepared to expeditiously review any technical information that Ligado and AST provide in response, anticipating further questions. 🔗 fccalerts.com/api/pdf/1d1cfe…

$ASTS deorbits its second satellite, the first was BlueWalker 1. The insurance for this satellite will fund 6 better composite ones and economically it is no loss. Operationally it proved New Glenn integration while it’s twin has already proved the on orbit stuff. Good sat. 🥂

🚨 $ASTS • In the US: AST is blocked from using these S-band frequencies for service. • In Brazil: They successfully bypassed the FCC's denial by getting direct permission from Anatel (though with the "no priority" catch). 1/

$ASTS Breaking News! AST SpaceMobile is authorized by Brazil's ANATEL to operate a 248 Satellite Constellation consisting of S-Band and Q/V Feeder. Specifically ANATEL granted AST access to 10x10 MHz of S-Band Spectrum in the 1980-2010 and 2170-2200 range. A HUGE WIN for AST!!

🚨🚨 $ASTS AST Spacemobile - FCC Docket SAT-MOD-20250612-00145 AST & Science, LLC (AST SpaceMobile) notifies the FCC that satellite FM-2 (BlueBird 7), part of its authorized 248-satellite constellation for supplemental coverage from space, was placed into a lower than planned orbit by the launch vehicle. Although the satellite separated and powered on, the orbital altitude was too low to sustain operations. Consequently, the satellite was deorbited on April 20 in accordance with AST SpaceMobile’s Commission-approved disposal plan. This notification is submitted pursuant to Condition 10 of the Commission’s license grant, requiring notification of initial orbital parameters within 30 days of deployment. 🔗 fccalerts.com/api/pdf/e3f61f…

$ASTS - 🚨New episode featuring Anpanman is live on the AST SpaceMobile Podcast! 🎙️ Anpanman - The Carrier Coup: How AST SpaceMobile Locked the US Market ✅ Carrier Joint Venture ✅ Starlink Competitive Response ✅ Spectrum Economics ✅ Satellite Launch Cadence ✅ Direct-to-Device Regulation Listen and subscribe to the AST SpaceMobile Podcast here: pod.link/1832680690 ---------- The unification of AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile into a single joint venture marks a transformational shift in the telecommunications industry. This strategic alliance is designed to counter the growing threat of Starlink by pooling spectrum and resources to support the AST SpaceMobile network. The sheer improbability of these rivals working together underscores the massive value of the broadband connectivity that only the SpaceMob can provide at scale. SpaceX leadership, including Gwynne Shotwell and Dave Goldman, reacted with public frustration, framing the situation as a 'David vs. Goliath' battle. This narrative is contested, noting SpaceX’s massive valuation and regulatory advantages. The outburst indicates that T-Mobile’s previous exclusivity with Starlink is effectively over as the carrier shifts focus to the more robust technical solution offered by AST SpaceMobile. From a regulatory standpoint, the FCC and DOJ will scrutinize this joint venture, but the carriers are prepared to argue that this collaboration fosters competition against tech giants like Amazon and SpaceX. By utilizing low-band spectrum—something only AST SpaceMobile can currently leverage effectively—the carriers aim to provide true broadband rather than the intermittent texting services offered by competitors. This is a critical national security issue and a game-changer for disaster recovery. Looking ahead, the launch cadence for AST SpaceMobile is accelerating significantly. With a diverse array of launch partners including Blue Origin, SpaceX, and ULA, the company is moving toward a continuous deployment schedule. The ultimate goal is to reach a critical mass of satellites by early 2027, securing 100% of the US market and expanding the Satellite Connect model globally through partnerships like Deutsche Telekom. youtube.com/watch?v=CWaIc0…
