@FoxNews He had said people need to respect the NYPD. That's enough. The NYPD can arrest those people if they want. Like why are we harping on this?

REPORTER: “Are you willing to revise your statement regarding the snowball fight, given that this was not exactly a friendly back-and-forth snowball fight. The police that were there were not throwing any snowballs. They were getting pelted themselves..."
"Would you consider banning these crowd-sourcing events because they can, and sometimes do, get out of hand?"
MAYOR MAMDANI: "I'm not going to be banning snowball fights or organized snowball fights."
“I've shared my thoughts with New Yorkers and I continue to believe that what we are seeing in this response this winter blizzard from the city workers as a whole, and that includes the hardworking men and women of the NYPD, is part of why the city is getting back on its feet and I'm appreciative of that work.”

@grok @FArkonus @WrestlingNewsCo Oddly enough to counter Paul's point, Brock Lesnar got cut from the Vikings so that means he couldn't hack it in the NFL. How many other wrestlers tried to play in the NFL after wrestling?
English

@FArkonus @WrestlingNewsCo Exactly—Paul's claim is opinion-based and hard to test empirically. The data we have shows a decent success rate for NFL crossovers, but as you noted, it's a self-selecting group. Fun debate either way!

On the latest episode of Impaulsive with guest Tom Brady, Logan Paul discussed the difficulty of transitioning between professional sports and the WWE ring.
Paul asserted that professional wrestling is the most difficult discipline to master, claiming that a high percentage of wrestlers could succeed in other sports, but the reverse is not true. “I think 90 percent of WWE wrestlers would be good in any other sport, and 90 percent of NFL athletes would be bad in a WWE ring,” Paul stated.
The current WWE star emphasized the unique combination of physical and mental requirements in the business. “It is the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” Paul explained, noting that the "on" switch required for the ring is unlike any other professional sport.

@DiscussingFilm The ending was fine. It's based on a idealistic DnD campaign and 80s Amblin tropes. Anyone who knows anything about either of those things should have known we would get a fairly sanitized ending. I never once expected any main characters to die. There were just too many of them.

Caleb McLaughlin says the idea of a secret 9th episode of ‘STRANGER THINGS’ Season 5 was dumb.
“The show is done, guys. I was like, ‘Guys, it’s over. It’s been 10 years.’ We were full-on kids and now we’re full-on adults, and we don’t need any more of us.”

@JayCars53396980 @DavidRo57015815 @FoxNews Only about half of us. Maybe less because some of us don't/can't vote...
English

@DavidRo57015815 @FoxNews No, no, it doesn’t. And this is the problem Americans aren’t terribly bright and are easily manipulated. Trump and his admin have fabricated absolutely everything none of which holds any truth and Americans just blindly nod and accept it as fact.
English

@SThingsSpoilers I wish everyone would stop comparing and learn how to either just enjoy what it was or move on. Lamenting over some idealistic finale that you had in mind is a waste of time.
English

Stranger Things doc director says Demogorgons were left out of the #StrangerThings5 finale due to overuse:
“They were really sure about the Demogorgons in the final Abyss, except Ross was like, ‘Mmm, maybe there’s some fatigue. Demogorgon fatigue.’ And Kate [Trefry] agreed."

English

SECRETARY NOEM: "We are warning anyone if you think you can harm an individual, a citizen of the United States or a law enforcement officer, we will find you and bring you to justice."
"If you lay a finger on one of our officers, we will catch you, we will prosecute you, and you will feel the full extent of the law."
English

@Nerdrotics They all became meat flesh for the mind flayer 's body.
English

@elonmusk Yea but what percentage of your income did you pay in taxes?
English

I paid so much in taxes one year that it broke the IRS computer (actually). Too many digits. They had to update the software to get it processed.
The Rabbit Hole@TheRabbitHole
The rich actually already pay more than their fair share of taxes.

🚨 CONFIRMED 🚨
Additional person of interest in @BrownUniversity shooting is also a Muslim, as I was first to report. The new additional person of interest was caught on camera wearing a black hijab near the suspected shooter.
Hard to tell if it’s a Muslim woman or a Muslim man who is pretending to be a woman (trans They/Them Muslim).
This is an enhanced photo of the additional person of interest in the Brown Univeristy shooting who police believe interacted with the shooter.
I was the first person to point out the person is wearing a black hijab.
Another Muslim, as I have been saying since the shooting first happened.
Democrats and Police in Rhode Island are desperately working overtime to protect murderous Muslims.

Laura Loomer@LauraLoomer
Is that a black hijab under the hoodie? Sure looks like it to me!
English

@WhiteHouse No. The houses are too fucking expensive. That's why. A 80 year old home that cost $200,000 30 years ago shouldn't be $1,000,000 and up, especially if there were no substantial improvements. And if that's the norm, our wages should reflect the purchasing power eq. to 80yrs ago.
English

@OptaSTATS Cope harder. Catching balls and hitting 60 home runs with a mid batting average does not mean you deserve MVP when there's another player who offensively performed better in almost every metric. It must go to the BEST all around player. Not a homer hitting catcher who bats mid.
English

@BillAckman @ZohranKMamdani Make up your mind. Either help him make the city more affordable or don't. Don't make it harder and try to scare the shit out of people with bullshit where people are protesting over nothing. He's not antisemitic. If I'm being honest I've never even heard of you until this year.
English

A must listen on @ZohranKMamdani and his view that the state of Israel should not exist. He apparently does not support peaceful coexistence or a two state solution. This may make it challenging for him to govern a city with such a large Jewish population.
My only question for @AmmiHirsch (and the other rabbis who met with Mamdani before the election) was why he did not warn his congregation and the electorate about his concerns about Mamdani until after he was elected.
Ammi Hirsch@AmmiHirsch
I met @ZohranKMamdani after the primaries. The reason he can't explain away his support for slogans like "Globalize the Intifada" is that they represent his core beliefs. He does not hide it; to the contrary, he is proud of it...

@FightCentralFC Nice accidental reversal into a guillotine choke lol

@ericadamsfornyc I have to say, it seems like Cuomo is splitting the vote rather than Sliwa. Republicans are going to vote for Sliwa no matter what (mostly) but moderate Democrats would probably vote for Sliwa over Mamdani. So Cuomo is really stealing Sliwa's potential votes.
English

CURTIS SLIWA HAS ALWAYS BEEN A TOOL OF THE ZOHRAN MAMDANI CAMPAIGN TO SPLIT THE VOTE AND LET SOCIALISM HURT OUR CITY.
ChatGPT analysis of Sliwa’s last 100 social media posts indicating approximately how many times he attacked Cuomo vs Mamdani:
Combined approximate totals (Twitter + Instagram, last 100 each): Cuomo ≈ 28–48, Mamdani ≈ 9–19.
“Attacking” = post text (caption/tweet) that directly criticizes, insults, calls out, challenges, or urges action against the named person (Cuomo or Mamdani).
English

@deusj08 @JeffPassan At one point but then they lost that advantage by losing to the Marlins two days ago while the Reds beat the Brewers. The Reds had a tiebreaker advantage so in order to make the playoffs the Reds just had to tie the Mets record, which they ended up doing.
English

@JeffPassan I thought they made it no matter what if the reds lose?
English

@cro7c1ker @ABC You can certainly own a gun in NYC. It's just a lot of paperwork and you can't carry it unless you need it for work. Although there was a lawsuit recently which may have rolled that back. Not sure.

DEVELOPING: New York City Police are responding after an officer and a civilian were shot in Midtown Manhattan on Monday by a suspect who fled into an office building, sources told ABC News.
