The Spectrum Handheld also boots quickly into a crisp and clear game selection menu. This is an early look but already it feels absolutely spot on! Great job by @HyperMegaTech! 💪

Especially if it's being sold by Amazon / Argos etc. (Forgive me I've not looked into where it's being sold!) Having said all that - if they released an Atari ST equivalent I'd bite ☺️

@ButtonsNSticks @ArmX73 @HyperMegaTech Exactly. My best friend LOVES the C64 but he’s a total technophobe. Setting him up with emulation for mobility would cause him to have a breakdown! With this, he can just buy it (or receive as a gift) and play! Simple! I’ve got ZXDS on a DS but I’m still getting the Speccy one!

@SpectrumNez @ArmX73 @HyperMegaTech Yeah that's a good point. All of my normie friends get me to help them set up their emulation handhelds (despite there being several excellent walkthroughs). I just wonder what the overlap is of folks who like retro and aren't already emulating?

@ArmX73 @ButtonsNSticks @HyperMegaTech Setting up ZXDS isn’t for everybody though. I’ve got many friends who would love a handheld Speccy or C64 but wouldn’t have a clue how to get them up and running on a DS. This is literally pick up and play with the ability to easily add games via microSD! (+ the screen is mega!)

@SpectrumNez @ButtonsNSticks @HyperMegaTech I've got ZXDS on a DSiXL, don't see the point in any other handheld Speccy. The v. keyboard on the touch screen plus the remappable controls on any DS buttons sets it apart from any competition. Might as well print a 3D Speccy shell for it and make it the definitive edition 🙄

@alexmenchi It’s no Shadow of the Beast, but I like the tune and parallax. The sunset effect was particularly delicious! Haven’t heard of this one but I’ll go and check it out. Thanks!
