@AugensteinWTOP Agree. A couple here and there may be fine, but when they become distracting, cut them!

As for umms, and errs, lop those out! Edit out long pauses! Edit out words that don’t affect meaning. But breaths ADD to the naturalness. Revel in them! It’s OK to lower the volume if necessary. But the timing flow’s the thing you shouldn’t mess with.

Tip for journalists, and anyone editing audio: You're looking at the single most important thing that makes a voice track "natural" -- it's a breath. If your piece runs too long, rewrite or re-record it. Don't edit out breaths! People breathe when they speak.😎
