@firstroundmock @NFL_DovKleiman Nice essay here’s Caleb’s stats vs top 25 compared to the other top QBs in his class notice he had more TDs and a better passer rating.

USC’s defense was what it was in 2023 because they didn’t run the ball that much (ranked No. 125 out of 133) and they had one of the lowest time of possession in college football (ranked No. 120 out of 133) which put a lot more pressure on their defense that season. Essentially it looks like they were trying to showcase Caleb Williams against their softer schedule and apparently it worked well enough to get him overdrafted.

I don’t think we realized how good Caleb Williams was in college.

In a ‘22 reg season vs top 10 Utah he had 438yds 5 TDs, no turnovers & led the O to all but 1 scoring drive. Yet USC lost. Riley’s def was THAT bad.

@dbailey_18 From my understanding he felt lied to about depth chart things (wasn’t so much about him having to stay but more so about competition and things), idk full details but that’s what I had heard was he had some issues with how depth chart/QB competition was being handled there

This one I really don’t get. Why go somewhere new to still sit the bench? Every QB Lincoln has gotten his hands on is in the NFL right now! If i’m going to wait anywhere as a QB, it would be with someone like Coach Riley! ESPECIALLY if I already learned the offense.
