We are seeing an increased numbers of cases of bird flu across the country and in parts of Spelthorne. As a precaution, we recommend people keep dogs on leads by waterways. Sick or dead birds should be reported to the Defra helpline on 03459 335577 and select option 7.

@GeniePointEV we are very disappointed that after 5 weeks you have been unable to resolve our issue with charging points a 3 locations. The issue gets passed back and forth with no resolve and no charging options for pool cars. There is no ability to escalate the complaint.

Crew paged at 5.54pm yesterday to assist @LondonFire & other emergency services to search for missing teenager seen to enter water at Taggs Island. After comprehensive search volunteer crew stood down. If you see someone in difficulty in the water dial 999 & ask for coastguard.

If someone is controlling or frightening you then it may be difficult for you to find out about your options or where to find help. By using a library computer, you can access all the information you need. It’s free and safe tinyurl.com/mehkryzf #SurreyAgainstDA

Are you a victim of stalking? Have you been supported by a specialist stalking advocate? Maybe they liaised with police or informed you of your rights. Perhaps they simply believed you. We want to hear from you: rb.gy/4o8ycw #NSAW2022

We are looking for the owner of this chest trunk which was recovered recently from the Wraysbury River. We believe that it, along with its contents, may have been stolen in a burglary. If you recognise it please get in touch quoting PR/45220010600. facebook.com/SpelthornePoli…

@adsantweets Hi there, roads come under the remit of Surrey County Council, nor Spelthorne, they would love to hear your concerns regarding them. We however, are just trying to provide some information and make sure as many pumpkins are recycled as efficiently as possible after Halloween.

@SpelthorneSt Could you worry more about fixing the roads rather than spending our money on adverts lecturing us where we should put our carved pumpkins? (it all ends up in the same place ultimately anyway)

@Paulos0987 Growing them isn't the problem, it is how they are disposed of that causes issues. We just want to make sure as many as possible are recycled as efficiently as they can be, and used to generate electricity and fertiliser.

@mapesdave Yes, it all gets collected as food waste but a lot of pumpkins are too big to fit into the food waste bin. Putting them on your bins just means our food waste crews can spot them easily.

@ridge1984 Yes! Not a problem, just put them on top of your bins next week. Or if you have a food waste bin and they fit, put them into that one.
