SURPRISE! The Mummy is out of the sarcophagus, I guess. I’m so excited to have a small part in shaping this movie since this franchise helped shaped my own love for filmmaking. The Mummy was my generation’s Indiana Jones and I’m so excited to be a part of this next installment.

@PaulAlexScott @CultureCrave No, I don’t agree. A 2025 AP-NORC poll found 56% of Americans prefer permanent daylight saving time, so this clearly isn’t about pleasing a small minority. You can raise legitimate health concerns without claiming it will “permanently wreck” half the country.

@PaulAlexScott @CultureCrave I also wouldn’t call it “fortunate.” I made deliberate choices to build a life around the hours when I function best. Chose not to have kids for this too. Sleeping later isn’t something I need to be “saved” from, and early risers don’t get to define adulthood for everyone else.

@PaulAlexScott @CultureCrave And kids aren’t playing outside at 6 a.m. Extra evening light gives families more time to walk, exercise, commute safely and actually use the daylight. That serves a real purpose too. As long as you get light in the morning, it doesn’t matter when. It’s still a health benefit.

@PaulAlexScott @CultureCrave Morning light is healthy, but there’s no medical rule that sunrise must happen before work or for early risers. If I wake at 8 or 8:30, I still get it. I’d rather have extra daylight after work and school, when people can actually use it.
