Get ready Ontario because it won’t be long before you are paying out of pocket for all your bloodwork and testing. This is what happens when you don’t vote. @fordnation and @SylviaJonesMPP are actively destroying our healthcare and laughing at you while they do it.

🚨Doug Ford didn’t “run out of money.” He spent it just not on you. Billions → bailing out developer buddies $2.2 BILLION → luxury spa at Ontario Place $1 BILLION → relocating the Science Centre Billions → Highway 413 through the Greenbelt $1.4 BILLION → booze in corner stores Millions → ripping out bike lanes & government ads But when it comes to healthcare? Now patients may have to pay out of pocket for basic care. That’s not a funding problem. That’s a priority problem. Enforce the Canada 🇨🇦 Health Act. Public healthcare is a right not a user fee.
Isaac Callan@isaaccallan

Ontario will not have a policy in place to publicly fund all medically necessary services from nurse practitioners by April 1, as ordered by the federal government, leaving some patients paying out of pocket for primary care. #onpoli globalnews.ca/news/11739684/…

Fertiliser analysts are now saying the world faces a monumental food crisis. The US will be hit hard too. People elsewhere will starve. Trump’s war appears to be about to quite literally destroy the world. Insane. 🌽

WHAT JUST HAPPENED BETWEEN IRAN AND TRUMP IN THE LAST 24 HOURS CHANGES EVERYTHING. BOOKMARK THIS NOW. Most people are still sleeping on what just happened. In the last 24 hours, we watched the most dangerous escalation sequence of this entire war play out in three moves. Three moves. Each one more dangerous than the last. Let me walk you through it. MOVE 1: Iran dropped official demands. Iran came to the table — not to negotiate. To set conditions. They want: → Ironclad guarantees this war never happens again → Every U.S. military base in the Middle East shut down — EVERY ONE → Full compensation from the U.S. and Israel for all damage done → A complete end on their terms Read that again. This wasn't a peace offer. This was Iran telling the world what victory looks like to them. They know what they want and they put it in writing. MOVE 2: Trump tried to strong-arm them. Instead of responding to Iran's terms, Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum. Open the Strait of Hormuz fully — or the U.S. obliterates Iranian power plants. "Starting with the biggest one first." That's the quote. Word for word. Three weeks of "winding down" language. Three weeks of both sides hinting at de-escalation. All of it evaporated in a single statement. Here's what nobody is telling you about that ultimatum: Trump didn't just threaten Iran's military. He threatened civilian infrastructure. Power plants that keep Iranian hospitals, cities, and civilians alive. Under international law, that threat alone changes the legal landscape of this war. And he gave them 48 hours. That's not negotiation. That's a man trying to bully someone into submission before the clock runs out. MOVE 3: Iran called his bluff and raised the stakes. Iran's military headquarters responded within hours. The message: if their energy infrastructure is attacked, ALL energy, IT, and desalination facilities of the U.S. and its allies in the entire region will be targeted. Process that. 💀 Saudi Arabia's oil fields — TARGETED 💀 UAE's energy grid — TARGETED 💀 Gulf desalination plants supplying water to tens of millions — TARGETED 💀 U.S. ally infrastructure across the region — ALL OF IT They're showing you two countries in a standoff. They're NOT showing you that Iran just threatened to turn a bilateral conflict into a regional catastrophe that collapses the global energy supply chain overnight. Here's the logic chain: → 20% of global oil moves through the Strait of Hormuz → Gulf energy facilities produce a massive share of the oil markets price themselves off → Gulf desalination plants are the primary water source for populations of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar → One exchange of strikes takes all of it OFFLINE → Oil doesn't spike. Oil DOUBLES. Maybe triples. → Food supply chains that run on fuel collapse within weeks → Inflation that makes 2022 look like a warm-up Now ask yourself something. Trump made his demands. Iran made their counter-warning. But notice the timing. Iran put out their terms FIRST. Reasonable or not, they went on record with what they wanted. Trump's response wasn't to engage with those terms. It was to escalate within hours with a bomb threat. Why would you respond to peace demands with an ultimatum? Who benefits from this war continuing? Ask yourself why. The clock is running. Iran isn't scared. Trump put a 48-hour timer on a bomb he may not be able to control. This is not a Middle East conflict anymore. This is the moment the war changes shape. The real escalation hasn't even started yet. 🚨

Iran just told Trump to go ahead and pull the trigger. Thirty-three hours left on the clock, and Tehran didn’t blink. It escalated. Trump threatened to obliterate Iranian power plants if the Strait of Hormuz wasn’t open for business within 48 hours. A reasonable person might have expected some back-channel signal, a quiet diplomatic murmur, maybe a phone call through Oman. Instead, Iran’s senior military command walked up to the microphone and announced that its entire strategic posture has shifted. Not defensive. Offensive. The country has enough reserves to last a year. The Strait is closing completely. Every vital piece of infrastructure in the Middle East, energy, water desalination, IT, is now a declared target. This is not a country signalling that it wants a way out. This is a country that has decided the cost of backing down exceeds the cost of the wall it’s about to hit. Which puts Trump in the kind of position he has never actually been in before: a deadline he set, in public, that the other side just laughed at. He can obliterate the power plants. In which case Iran closes the Strait, hits the desalination plants that keep Saudi Arabia and the UAE alive, and about a fifth of the world’s oil supply disappears overnight. Markets open Monday to scenes that make 2008 look like a minor correction. Or he doesn’t. In which case every adversary on earth just watched the President of the United States issue an ultimatum and absorb a public humiliation in real time. There is no clean exit here. There is no art to this deal. Thirty-three hours. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

I’ve been to Cuba a few times and have met a number of locals and this is so wrong. Trump is, for so many different reasons, a terrible person and president.
Wang Laurent@wanglaurentceo

I have a friend in Cuba and what they just reported should end careers in Washington. Every single patient on a ventilator in their hospital died tonight. The power went out. The ventilators stopped. This isn't a rare incident anymore. Cuba's grid has collapsed 3 times THIS MONTH. The hospital staff told them they've had more emergency deaths in the last 30 days than in all of last year combined. A patient with leukemia at a Havana hospital told reporters: "Without fuel or affordable transportation, life has only gotten harder. We are fighting every day." NICU babies are on bare minimum power right now. Dialysis patients are playing Russian roulette with every blackout. Cuba has received ZERO oil in 3 months. That's not a shortage. That's a blockade. The US blocked a Russian rescue mission — 730,000 barrels of oil heading to Cuba — turned it away. Then the official story went: "We're sending $6 million in humanitarian aid." $6 million in aid. 930,000 barrels of oil blocked. You can't fix ventilators with $6 million when the grid is dark. And Trump's own words from March 6, 2026: "Cuba will fall. After 50 years, this is the cherry on top of the cake." The people dying in hospitals tonight are his cherry on top. I'll keep you updated. Turn on notifications. 🚨

I'm very confused about Ontario's plans, especially here in Toronto. So long, bikes, nature, science centre. Hello jets, beer, spas. Sorry about the overflowing hospitals. But, also, yes to virtual healthcare cuts. Elementary students are failing. Too bad, we will keep underfunding education. Let's prioritize a return to paper-based report cards. However, no AI plan/curriculum guidance for K-12 despite massive AI job disruption.

🔥March 2026( in our 7th SarsCoV2 year!), the stark reality is clear, WAKE-UP! Each SARS-CoV-2 REINFECTION, now predominantly with Omicron subvariants, still cumulatively heightens the risk of developing or worsening Long COVID, doubling it in children and adolescents (RR 2.08) and adding significant multisystem morbidity in adults, even as per-infection risks have declined overall due to immunity and vaccination, meaning repeated exposures continue to drive substantial ongoing population-level burden of persistent, debilitating symptoms across neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, and other systems. #AvoidSars2 #AvoidReinfections thelancet.com/journals/lanin…

Steve’s Music Store is closing today after being an institution in the Toronto music scene for 49 years on Queen West. It’s where I bought my first guitar when I was 15 years old. I remember going in there as a kid, excited by all the musicians and instruments around me, and thinking their talented staff were simply the coolest people in the world. RIP Steve’s, and thank you.

🚨I've been warning for YEARS: COVID wrecks your HEART long-term, even mild cases! New European Heart Journal study confirms it: ↑ risk of heart attack & stroke for up to 3 YEARS. 😡Told you so! This isn't over. Please protect yourselves: YOU ONLY HAVE ONE HEART! 🧵👇 #AvoidSars2 #AvoidReinfections #COVIDisAirborne #CleanAirNow

1/ The long term heart risks of C-19 💔 A massive new study in the European Heart Journal confirms what many feared: SARS-CoV-2 is not just a respiratory virus. It’s a long-term cardiovascular threat. The risk of major heart events remains elevated for years after infection.

Of course MAGAs are now mad at HBO and threatening to boycott because, let me check my notes, the show "The Pitt" portrayed a very realistic scene of ICE Nazis kidnapping a patient in the ER and arresting a doctor saying the show demonized ICE agents 🙄
