Would you rather the Patriots have won a championship in 2007 or 2025?
I’m probably going to get dragged for even asking this silly question. 😭
But MAYE-BE people would prefer the most recent ring. It’s not as easy for me to decide.
@TheSports_Shift It's possible. Depends on how Maye improves this off-season. Defense should still be good. O-Line should be fixed. Might have to get another WR since Diggs may be suspended at some point next season.
@uscscott80@Billsfandiehard I agree. After Texans game I was happy that he did not fumble the football against Denver and avoided TOs against Seattle for as long as he did.
@Spiderman19932@Billsfandiehard That his postseason
He’ll improve but you have to be honest with yourself my man. He’s been rattled all postseason against good defenses.
Drake Maye in the playoffs:
vs Chargers - 17/29 268 yds 1 TD 1 INT 2 fumbles
vs Texans - 16/27 179 yds 3 TD 1 INT 4 fumbles
vs Broncos - 10/21 86 yds 0 TD 0 INT
vs Seahawks - 27/43 295 yds 2 TD 2 INT 2 fumbles
-- 70/120 828 yds 6 TD 4 INT 8 fumbles
More like Drake MAYBE
@PeterVoto57@FunFootballPod Doesn't matter. A lot of those teams were tough even with losing records. Browns had the 4th best total defense and Drake threw 3td against them. Look at the early Brady Patriots. They struggled against bad teams as well but still won SBs.
@Spiderman19932@FunFootballPod Almost every team they faced ended up with a losing record and fired head coaches or coordinators. I don't believe they could have beaten the Rams either if the NFC Championship ended differently.
@uscscott80@Billsfandiehard Also you don't have to be the better football team. I knew Seattle already was. I was just hoping we would be better than them for one game. Defense showed up and showed we could hang with the best of the best.
@Spiderman19932@Billsfandiehard No. You lost because you were the worst team and Maye has been historically bad this playoffs against actual defenses. You had the easiest regular season season schedule in 26 years that tricked pats fans to believe more
@uscscott80@Billsfandiehard Also, don't know why they did not run bootlegs since the line was having trouble blocking. It's too early to say Maye is bad. Brady did not play well in his 1st SB run outside of not really turning the ball over. If Maye can fix that he will be good for years to come.
@uscscott80@Billsfandiehard Probably but that is not what happened. We did a terrible job at adjusting to what Seattle did. the O-Line got bullied especially on the left side. They finally started doing something to address that in the 4th down by 19 points. But it was too late.
@PatsBuzz Maybe we got to SB a year too early. O-Line needs some work. Maye needs to work on Pocket Presence. Also felt that throughout especially in the SB and against the Broncos he should have used his legs more. Probably need to get a new #1 WR to replace Diggs due to legal issues.
@jasrifootball Not sure. It is possible. Josh Allen's window is closing and Chiefs are kinda in a rebuilding phase. Not sure if Colts will be good again next year. Broncos will probably be the favorite to win the AFC next year. We will have to see. Not really a standout team besides Broncos.
@YuriProduction1@PurdyPropzz@jasrifootball Pats offensive also only scored 10 points in AFC Championship. The other 14 were due to a Punt Return and a block FG return. This team was built to rely on defense in the playoffs. Hopefully Maye will develop into a better QB that makes good decisions quickly.
@YuriProduction1@PurdyPropzz@jasrifootball Brady was carried by his defense in his 1st SB run. Never scored over 20 points offensively. 16 points 1st game. 0 points in championship cause he got hurt. 13 points in super bowl. Look at the career he had after that.
@PeterVoto57@FunFootballPod Steelers. Dolphins always play Pats tough at least one game a year. Then the playoffs. Three top defenses. We also had a top defense as well. Ours just played better and forced TO's. Nix being hurt did help. Probably would have lost that one.
@PeterVoto57@FunFootballPod I won't say skated in. They schedule was still pretty tough even with the bad teams. Giants played most teams tough this year. Browns were the #1 pass defense. Bills twice. Ravens who were still in playoff contention at the time.
