@LouStagner @rossmacleodputt I get that sometimes getting a bad lie is part of the game, but if you hit a fairway, it should be expected that you are rewarded with a good lie on the next shot. An obvious divot should be treated as ground under repair.

Whats the difference between a pitch mark and an aeration mark? You only get relief from one. The rules give no definition of an aeration mark and only a basic one for pitch mark. The rules do not cover when either is no longer an aeration mark or pitch mark

Another way to slow play down as people take drops or discuss if they should be getting a drop.
How often does it even happen? Not enough to get so much airtime imo.
