I've warned for months that a @JetBlue-@SpiritAirlines merger would have led to fewer flights and higher fares. @JusticeATR and @USDOT were right to stand up for consumers and fight against runaway airline consolidation. This is a Biden win for flyers! apnews.com/article/jetblu…

we had the best crew FULL STOP! every pilot AND flight attendant i ever spoke with at work was so kind and knowledgable, thank you all for everything :( i loved my job and the lifelong friends i made while i worked at Spirit, today was my last day as a crew scheduler 💔

FSU really helped its positioning over the weekend by sweeping Pitt at home. @FSUBaseball up 9 spots in the RPI to 7. As for @Pitt_BASE, really needed to get one this weekend. Pitt down to 52 in the RPI (-7) + iffy 10-14 league record. Finish VERY important.

Spirit Airlines is officially ceasing operations today, May 2nd
Operationally, Spirit has been the best carrier that I’ve worked for. Phenomenal flight crews who are professional, diligent, and well-trained. All around great people
I once had the privilege of flying a 2 month old A320 NEO with new airplane smell ✨
The memes are out there, but there are no memes about air crew safety & performance. I’m thankful to have been part of such a group of even keeled pilots who were generous with their knowledge and experience 🫡

Something most of you didn’t know is the prior to my current gig I was offered a job at spirit as a first Officer and only didn’t go because my dream spot called a few weeks after. But it was an exciting moment for me back when it occurred. I have friends who are there, or were there so this kinda thing sucks to see. The crews there were amazing, some of the best in the industry. Their passenger base is what gave them the rep they had but the people who flew their aircraft and took care of the passengers in flight were excellent by all means, hopefully they find a new gigs quickly, and the transition is as painless as possible. Sad day to see a US company fail.

Well, that isn’t happening. I woke up with my back hurting pretty bad. This will be the first Toadsuck 5K I’ve missed since we moved here 4.5 years ago. 😭
