@yzhang798 @UHC I’ve advocated for better wages with @CaringMajority because I care about this workforce. But Intro 303 is dangerous for PWD an older adults. We can’t end 24hr shifts without getting insurance to fund split-care. We need a solution where no one is sacrificed or unemployed.

@AmirKhafagy91 @JPHilllllll @Documentedny Any patient needing 24 hour care should have 12 hour split shift. It's not only humane for the worker but also for the patient. The 24 hour shifts are simply designed to "save money" not for the wellbeing of the patient and much less the worker.

Today, the Committee on Health, jointly with the Committees on Mental Health and Substance Use and Disabilities, held its preliminary budget hearing to review the proposed budgets for the Office of Chief Medical Examiner (OCME), @nychealthy, and @NYCDisabilities.
