🇺🇦🇵🇹 Was glad to meet with my colleague, Minister of National Defense of Portugal @NunoMeloMDN. Thanked him for the visit to Kyiv at this important time. Expressed my gratitude to Portugal for the assistance announced during the UDCG meeting and for the readiness to contribute €50 million to the PURL mechanism. Noted the importance of Portugal’s decision to allocate €25 million annually for five years under the SAFE initiative to procure Ukrainian defense products. We discussed the continuation of cooperation, particularly in the defense industry, the prospects for mutually beneficial projects, and the long-term development of our capabilities. We also focused on Ukraine’s critical defense needs to protect our people and critical infrastructure. Висловив щиру вдячність Португалії за допомогу, оголошену під час засідання UDCG, та готовність зробити внесок у розмірі 50 млн євро до механізму PURL. Відзначив важливість рішення Португалії спрямовувати 25 млн євро щороку протягом п’яти років у межах ініціативи SAFE для закупівлі української оборонної продукції. Обговорили продовження співпраці, зокрема у сфері оборонної промисловості, перспективи взаємовигідних проєктів і довгострокового розвитку наших спроможностей. Окремо зупинилися на критичних потребах оборони України для захисту людей та критичної інфраструктури. Вдячний Португалії за підтримку!
