Indian cricket mourns the loss of C. D. Gopinath, who passed away at the age of 96, marking the end of a remarkable era in the sport. A member of India’s historic first-ever Test-winning team in 1952, he was the last surviving link to that landmark moment in Ind cricket history.

🇪🇺 French club Strasbourg's away allocation for their UEFA Conference League quarter-final against Mainz of Germany tonight sold out in about two hours. That is approximately the amount of time it takes to drive between the two cities - surely making it one of the shortest international away days for a knockout tie in European football history (162 kilometres)!

I’ve been trying to think of 80s and 90s cricketers who missed out on the franchise revolution, but who may have been big money players (if they’d had the chance). So far I’ve got: Sir Viv Richards Sir Curtly Ambrose Courtney Walsh Sir Ian Botham Darren Gough Graham Gooch Robin Smith Kapil Dev Anil Kumble Mohammad Azharuddin Allan Donald Lance Klusener Javed Miandad Saeed Anwar Imran Khan Wasim Akram Waqar Younis Who have I missed out?

How many bowlers can you name that have dismissed both a father and a son in test cricket?

Varun Chakravarthy gets a respectable break option due to "injury". He had a very poor last three months and this was waiting to happen. This "supposed injury break" would help him go back to drawing board, may be get some new tricks up his sleeve. His India slot isn't safe either. He was project till "2026 T20WC". Above and beyond no guarantees.

Posting a small Quiz: I was born in a country, that has 15 medals at the Olympics. The country holds the record of winning most medals, without a single gold. I made my FC debut in 2005, but played my 1st test in 2014. I share a unique test record, with the likes of B.S. Chandrashekhar. I was a part of an IPL squad, but didn't play a game. I have played tests and T20Is for my country, but never played a single ODI. Guess the cricketer.
