@dickiedosh It’s a big list. Tarling puncture, Peaty getting Covid and losing by 0.02, Richards losing by 0.02, Amber Rutter judging farce, 2/7 and 2/5 in the kayak cross finals getting beat, Wilson in the windsurfing, Reilly in the BMX freestyle and ofc Kerr and Hudson Smith last few nights

@SportingProfit Yeah even Beth Schreiver who on paper finished well beaten, had won 7 out of 7 in the heats and semis, went off nearly 1.5 in the final and slightly missed the break and that was game over, plus Molly Caudery not even making the final of the pole vault

@dickiedosh Completely agree, just the vast majority of those fine margins have gone against GB so far. Of course there was Yee and Pidcock that went the right way but at least 7/8 gone the wrong way so far

@SportingProfit Yeah exactly, in fairness I think in this Olympics whilst we have had loads of great gold medal chances, there have been fewer really short nailed on golds like Peaty and some of the cyclists and rowers of years gone by, feels like the spread is wider and more volatile

@dickiedosh Yeah happy with the bet but doesn’t look like we’re going to get the result does it! Very narrow path now. Chances in both taekwondo tomorrow, both modern pentathlon, KJT in the heptathlon and of course plenty in the cycling but very little room for error now

@SportingProfit This bet looked home and hosed on Friday night into Saturday morning, but we have been on the wrong side of fine margins so many times since, the Kerr & Hudson-Smith finals have summed it up really! Out of GB’s last 20 medals won only two have been gold

This went almost exactly as predicted. Main bet of Denmark podium wins easily which is the main thing. Unfortunately they just miss out on the outright by a very small margin

Dressage Team This looks a very tight battle between Denmark and Germany (would have been GB too if not for Dujardin’s WD). The 3 mentioned should be well clear of the rest barring disaster so Denmark to medal at 8/11 with SkyBet looks a cracking bet. Also on at 11/2 outright

Men’s Eight Another GB crew to have dominated the cycle, only losing once. Double World and European champs and whilst a few of these have been tight races they have shown an ability to respond under a lot of pressure. I make them odds on shots so backed at 13/10 with Coral/Lads

See this as a 50/50 between Ingebrigtsen and Kerr so at the prices the nod has to go to Kerr at 2/1. Whilst Ingebrigtsen has the faster times, championship races are very different to the diamond league circuit. Kerr also beaten him the last twice
