NYSPHSAA has resisted any push to remove non-public schools out of postseason play vs publics, which Section 1 is attempting to do on its own. Instead, NYSPHSAA has pushed to move non-publics up in classification. Here's why I think that doesn't work.

Frewsburg 59 Greenwich 52 Final Safe to say the matchup we all waited for lived up to it 🔥 And if there was ever the showing of CHAMPIONSHIP mettle, this was it. Frewsburg was down 23-9 early but stayed the course, had their big dog catch a heater, then saw it all come together in the last 10 minutes. A huge 19-2 run spanning eight minutes across the 3rd & 4th quarters proved decisive as Frewsburg repeats the @NYSPHSAA feat in Class C 🏆 @JadynTrock34154 went for a game high 26, 12 of them in a monster q2 stretch to keep Frewsburg afloat, and Abery Harvey added 13 with big 2nd half contributions. Bailee Wolfe had 15, Brooke Kuzmich added 14, and Olivia Davis contributed 13 to close great HS chapters for @WitchesGHoops. Game 5 ✔️ Class C ✔️✔️

Greenwich 56 Tuckahoe 54 Final Ok… let’s catch our breath 😅 In its third straight year at HVCC, Tuckahoe found a jolt of life at the 11th hour & stormed back from -14 in the 4th to a heart stopper at the wire. But @WitchesGHoops, in front of a sizable lunchtime home crowd, SURVIVED to advance to the Class C state championship game. The Frewsburg/Greenwich matchup that has been anticipated for over a year… confirmed 🔋 Jordan Wolfe was huge for the @Sect2athletics reps & finished with 21 to lead the way, Brooke Kuzmich strong throughout and added 18 in the win. @JManginell81380 led a great, all-heart @TuckahoeTiger (@SilDiSalvatore) team with 21 including 14 in an UNREAL 4th quarter effort. Game 2 ✔️

FINAL The Greenwich Witches are on to the Class C State Championship game with a 56-54 victory over Tuckahoe at Hudson Valley Community College. Greenwich will take on Frewsburgh tomorrow at 6 pm in the state title game. Jordan Wolfe led the way with 21 and Kuzmich had 18.

S2 top dog @WitchesGHoops left no doubt by dominating at the outset, and they led by as much as 38 in the 2nd half en route to a Class C subregional playoff win. Brooke Kuzmich & Jordan Wolfe paced Greenwich with 18 each, Bailee Wolfe added 13, and nine players scored in the win. Kayla Valenti led S9 champ Seward in the books with 14 (10 q4).
