FINAL The Greenwich Witches are on to the Class C State Championship game with a 56-54 victory over Tuckahoe at Hudson Valley Community College. Greenwich will take on Frewsburgh tomorrow at 6 pm in the state title game. Jordan Wolfe led the way with 21 and Kuzmich had 18.

Greenwich 56 Tuckahoe 54 Final Ok… let’s catch our breath 😅 In its third straight year at HVCC, Tuckahoe found a jolt of life at the 11th hour & stormed back from -14 in the 4th to a heart stopper at the wire. But @WitchesGHoops, in front of a sizable lunchtime home crowd, SURVIVED to advance to the Class C state championship game. The Frewsburg/Greenwich matchup that has been anticipated for over a year… confirmed 🔋 Jordan Wolfe was huge for the @Sect2athletics reps & finished with 21 to lead the way, Brooke Kuzmich strong throughout and added 18 in the win. @JManginell81380 led a great, all-heart @TuckahoeTiger (@SilDiSalvatore) team with 21 including 14 in an UNREAL 4th quarter effort. Game 2 ✔️

Tuckahoe did a great job defensively, @WitchesGHoops stagnant on the possession, then a big-time player just makes a big-time difficult shot. Bailee Wolfe before the shot clock buzzer, have at it 💥 Big swing mid q3 as Chloe Angello picked up fouls 3 & 4 two minutes apart. 4th was on a big collision defending a ball screen, kinda bang bang in terms of legal vs illegal screen, tough break. Also looks like she’s really laboring on the bench - illness type of look. Greenwich has all of their big three comfortable right now. Big blow for Tuckahoe if Chloe is limited or unable to go

Greenwich 26 Tuckahoe 22 Half In nip & tuck games like this, if you can find a way to buy a couple possessions, it’s huge. @WitchesGHoops broke from the man for a minute and flashed zone pressure, created a couple turnovers in recovery mode, and converted. 6 straight pts to close the half including this Jordan Wolfe (9 pts) trey off a Brooke Kuzmich (12 pts) advancement ⬇️ Better job defensively by Greenwich in q2. Tuckahoe’s points weren’t through flow of offense. Secondary break floater, trench work, and a FT. In the battle of styles, I think Greenwich took the 2nd. But obviously just one blow in kind of a heavyweight Class C bout. Really fun half
