@PooManBad Eh, I think I just disagree. The issues one could take with the two are distinct enough where I wouldn't say the comparison is really 1-to-1, and it's possible to hold a pro-"moral crusade" but anti-doxing position, or criticize prior vigilantism without being against it entirely

You misunderstand: I am saying if I am bad for my Nvrth video, then his buddies are bad for their Tactone crusade. I would argue that trying to interfere with a protection order is orders of magnitude worse than someone just uploading a dox online. If for no other reason than such leaks like we're seeing now only serve to benefit the person you're against. I at least did it for content, these guys are on an actual moral crusade.

Listen, whether you're bothered by people privately looking up doxable information (without publicly posting them) or not is up to you, I don't think that in of itself is always necessarily bad. HOWEVER! Doing so for the purposes of aiding in somebody's protection order like some vigilante parasocial-freak, just because you wanna get an own on a content creator ya don't like, is weird. Some of these same people went after Lio for pedo-hunting, how is this any different?
PS: Yes, "LoL Archiver" is a data breech site. I dunno why this is being denied.

Altho back to my prior point, this seems less like Kuihman being against getting involved in stories, and more like him having hang-ups about doxing and the facts of that specific case

@PooManBad I would personally disagree with his implied condemnation of the Nvrth dox (bcuz fuck that guy), but I think Kuihman is just against ppl's personal info being compiled and publicized for the purposes of harassment, not anti-getting involved in stories.

They literally went after Lio for collecting doxable information on pedophiles and using that information to contact the police. They also went after Lio for going on moral crusades about pedophiles. They (specifically Kuihman) went after ME for doxing a guy who admitted to grooming a 12 year old. So no, it's very hypocritical.

@PooManBad Yeah I get that's your position, which is fine, but I don't think the people in the CC that talk about Tectone potentially violating the protection order would share that position about vigilantism, and thus wouldn't be hypocritical in their criticisms of Lio.

@PooManBad Also, I can't speak for everyone in the CC ofc, but I think the bigger issue ppl have with Lio is that his vigilantism was very poorly done. If he hadn't been as haphazard and autistic with a lot of it, there would probably be less alogs that still hound him about it.

Two reasons:
1. It's not your fucking business.
2. This type of shit leaking doesn't help anyone. When you do shit like this in public, it's going to leak and it's ABSOLUTELY gonna benefit the person you're against.

@PooManBad Sure, I just think it's silly to try and poke and prod the original situation for inconsistencies, or hunt for potential impropriety in how the tool could have been used, when you're as unfamiliar with the tool as everyone in that stream was.

@SprateH I don't think it's doxing and I'm not against people using whatever tools they want, so long as they're honest about it. Don't confuse my take with the takes of other people, I don't care about other peoples' takes.

@SprateH I am not theorizing. I have no fucking clue what the 3rd party searched, despite the people talking about all this being kinda iffy on the details in Chud's stream. The issue I have is they were interfering in a protective order that has nothing to do with them.

@PooManBad I think based off the messages, they talked about Steam because they just searched the Twitter username on Steam. That doesn't require a tool.
And idk why we're theorizing about what COULD have been done when all evidence points to them just using the tool for Twitter usernames
