@thesprayman @Spray_Guy Very true, the Flowmeter can only tell volume of liquid per min. Worn or clogged nozzles will will mess with your caught volume.

@SprayerJames @Spray_Guy You forgot to mention that you have to make sure the nozzles are each putting out the same gpm across the boom or the calibration will not be accurate.

Sometimes Flowmeter wear isn’t obvious. Even the sapphire bearings can wear and cause inaccurate readings. New upstream assembly is on he left

@SprayerJames Frankly, James, it's a pain. Not just the math, but consider that the nozzles point sideways, not down! Grab a coffee (or something stronger) and read on. sprayers101.com/measure-nozzle… sprayers101.com/confirm-output/

@hamiltonian8 Brand new on the left, the one on the right is a couple years old. abrasive products can lower the life expectancy

@Spray_Guy I’m curious how its done on an orchard sprayer! Turf is like a 2d surface so the math is easy

@Spray_Guy Desired rate(rate computer displays) = D Speed (or simulated speed) = S Nozzle spacing (cm for metric inches for imperial) = N GPA= ((DxSxN)/5940) x 128 (to get ounces) / 2 (for a 30 second catch) GPK= ((DxSxN)/136) x 128 /2 LPH= ((DxSxN)/60000) /2 (will be in litres) 👍

@Spray_Guy A catch test to compare what the computer thinks your Rate is to what is actually coming out. I catch for 30 seconds and use this formula:
