Does anybody outside of Yorkshire know what "have a gander" or "fancy a mooch down town" means? I'm trying to determine how much context to add 🙈 (I'm avoiding written accents in my cosy historical—the Lilje Damselfly novel—to keep it "mainstream" but dialect is sneaking in)

I look at this video of Cornwall beauty spot St Agnes (posted by @CarveMag earlier today) and despair at what Brexit and the Tories have enabled in this country. Utterly tragic.

So 2022 has been different with nearly all my work in the form of alterations & repairs with a good number of commissions. Reducing textile waste & fast fashion.

@metoffice Thankyou Katie 😃, we kind of thought the sea breezes would make the difference. Mind you no breeze is getting to the 1 corner of the garden that's way way too hot already.

@Sprigasaurus Hi - our heat warnings are also based on the impacts the heat will have and the confidence forecasters have in reaching those temperatures - e.g. sea breezes will likely make the heat feel less extreme, and reduces the confidence that those temperatures will be reached. ^Katie

@RevRichardColes No idea what my breakfast is classed as. It doesn't look like muesli or porridge. Mashed banana, oats, add ground almonds pumpkin chia sunflower and flax seeds. Pour on hot water and leave to soak while perusing twitter.
