@megsymegs @Zorpheous @s8n Hubs is a maintenance tech. He says a lot of engineers are dumb as fuck at hands on so it is good they taught them not to touch the soldering iron. He has to fix so much shit that they mess up. I'm an engineer, so he loves telling me all about it.

@Zorpheous @s8n It is brutal, and sometimes just frustrating. Son is 2nd yr, went to a mandatory prep lab today. Scheduled 2hrs, lasted 15 mins, they were basically taught not to touch the hot end of a soldering iron 🤣🤣 Guess they needed to know that for when real labs start next week 🤷🏻‍♂️

@Zorpheous @SilentPrune When I did mine programming and materials chemistry was the big ones in that first year. Where I went it was 2 semestersof general, then 6 semesters of whatever path you chose (elec, comp, civil, mech, naval). Started with 250. By year 2 down to like 170.

Mail in voting has no such requirement nor most of the other safe guards required for absentee voting.

The first time Trump misspelled "stolen" as "stollen" it could have been brushed off as a simple typo. The second time he did it, ehh, maybe his ring finger is a bit weak and it double-taps on the "l" from time to time. The third time he did it: "Ok maybe he's just not so smart." He did it yet again this morning, and I'm ready to declare that Trump really thinks that "stolen" is spelled with two Ls. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Or is there? For the record, my 6-year old son knows how to spell "stolen." Just saying.
