this is very true, it’s mythicised when you’re out of the club, but very normal once you’re in it.
Everyone has imposter syndrome the first few weeks but you get down to business real quick.

An anecdote from someone going through YC S26 the thing that continues to shock me is how little fanfare there is inside YC > very little effort is spent making YC feel glamorous > nobody cares about titles or credentials > partners are remarkably humble > merch is deliberately subtle > buildings are nondescript from the outside, YC has this enormous mythology around it from the inside, it feels aggressively normal nobody cares that you got into YC, everyone around you also got into YC they care about what you shipped, what your customers said, and whether your company is growing

c: the first release of chatgpt was gpt 3.5 and it did not have vision capabilities

yc f26 applications close tonight at 8pm PT
about a year ago i was on the other side of it -- didn't know we'd make the cut
we got in. It changed everything for us. our app wasn't perfect, it was just honest
since then I've reviewed a ton of applications and the pattern is always the same
the best ones are the ones that just explain a real problem and provide a real solution
