@imac234_ Do you seriously think the entire studio is helping with the ranked mode? It’s almost certainly a small team. Also, each of the dev studios contribute to each of the games in some way.

Treyarch is officially apart of the development of Modern Warfare 4 with creating ranked play. This will be Treyarch’s EIGHTH Call Of Duty they have worked on since 2018. Just an insane amount of work load for a studio that baldly needs a break.

@GameOverThirty imo games like Expedition 33 ruin this whole ‘Game Pass devalues games’ argument. If your game is good enough and has mainstream appeal, it doesn’t matter if it launches into Game Pass, people will still buy it.

Claiming Xbox Game Pass is both destroying the value of games, AND falling apart because it didn't grow enough, is always amusing to me. Xbox Game Pass has about 30M users. Do you know small that group is when compared to entire commerce of the industry, even when we control for F2P? Pick a lane folks. Either it never grew to expectations and only impacts a small fraction of consumers, or it's this all encompassing monstrosity that has destroyed the value of games. At 30M people, it can't be both. It doesn't control commerce in the way it's being scapegoated. Game Pass Ultimate + PC Game Pass (which would be less than 30M people) appeals to people who *specifically* want to consume brand new games in a buffet aystem, which we know from consumer trends, isn't actually that large of a group. Even considering the Call of Duty mistake, Game Pass stalled out in growth around 34M people. That isn't nearly enough market control to dictate the fate of games, let alone the "value" of a game released across multiple storefronts. I DO expect Xbox to reveal new Game Pass plans this summer, but my hunch is that those plans will be designed to encourage MORE people to construct a Game Pass menu that appeals to them.

@Dufmaan @charlieINTEL I think an even better example is Expedition 33. That was a third-party game that launched onto Game Pass day and literally took the entire gaming world by storm.

CONFIRMED FOR MODERN WARFARE 4: Camos are likely going back to a challenge based system rather than a headshot based system. Stracts (tagged below) played today, and reported that he unlocked a camo after killing someone with a body shot, likely meaning that each weapon has different challenges to unlock their camos unlike BO6 and BO7.
