@aubreystrobel In this one case, let's be honest, retreating to a cottage in CT was never going to be a great option to meet men. There is a middle ground.

One of my friends, I won't name to preserve anonymity. She's stunningly beautiful, tall, stylish, blonde. Educated. Good job. Doesn't use social media. She moved out of NYC to a cute cottage in Connecticut that she made into the cutest home. She is very romantic and wanted a slower life for herself. More cottage-core, etc. During that entire year she met not a single man. She's moving back to the city next month.

@anishmoonka Did you take reading and writing comprehension? You start saying student-athletes have a suicide problem and then go on to talk about exercise. This actually made me mad it was so f*^%ing bad.

The fittest young people in America are dying by suicide. Male college cross-country runners have the highest suicide rate of any sport. Suicide deaths among NCAA athletes have doubled over 20 years, and suicide is now their second leading cause of death after accidents. A major 2024 medical review pulled together 218 studies on 14,170 patients with depression. Walking, jogging, yoga, strength training, and dance all worked. For mild and moderate cases, the effect was about the same as standard antidepressants. Vigorous workouts helped more than light ones. None of that science is about willpower. Roughly 40 to 50 percent of someone's depression risk is in their genes, based on decades of twin studies in Sweden and the U.S. If a parent or sibling has had depression, your lifetime risk is two to three times higher than average. That piece of the disease is biology you cannot run off. For severe depression, doctors do not prescribe exercise on its own. The main treatment guidelines in the U.S. and the UK treat exercise as something added on top of medication and therapy. In a 2025 study, researchers added regular supervised workouts to standard treatment for people with severe depression. The result was no extra improvement, because only 22 percent of patients managed to do the workouts. Severe depression destroys the energy needed to exercise in the first place. The framing that depression "loves a soft body and an idle mind" has the cause and effect backwards. Depression itself drains the energy that exercise requires. The inactivity that results gets blamed for the disease, and the people most affected get shamed for being too sick to fix themselves. Exercise belongs in every depression treatment plan. Moralizing about soft bodies and idle minds does not, and it pushes the people who most need help further away.

@hellspatisserie you havent seen many protests in Princeton. These folks are downright conservative compared to loons in Cambridge, New Haven, or Harlem. Beautiful town.

Don’t usually get personal on here, but having a bit of a rough time mentally right now. Those of you that are men of God, I would very much appreciate some prayers. Meeting with a pastor from my church this week to try navigate it. Bless you all.

Starting to see lots of people scooping up land in East TN & W NC. Locals, outsiders, you name it. Large tracts. Know a local who just bought 100 acres for $300K. Selectively logged just a few small portions of it. Logger took maybe 15 acres. 50/50 split. Owner pocketed $70K.

BREAKING: After local outrage in Andover, the council will rescind the ordinances that allowed data centers and introduce a ban. Andover is now one of multiple data center fights we have helped stop in just the last month. We can keep crushing these projects with people power!!!

My friend in Westchester is telling me that he is definitely noticing that his neighbors and kids’ circles are starting to meet up less at sit-down restaurants and switching to Chipotle. This is Westchester we are talking here (highly affluent NYC professional class).

Probably the #1 pattern I see in people who work with me is the 45-50 yo woman who's tired, can not lose weight anymore, has sleeping problems & is anxious like never before. This is Progesterone declining fater than Estrogen causing Estrogen dominance, Thyroid suppression, elevated Cortisol & therefore the body is not going to give up body fat. This is fixable

It’s time to seriously talk ticks here in the Ozarks. My buddy in Benton County who used to diagnose a couple cases of Alpha-Gal a month—now multiple per day. Everybody’s dog has ehrlichiosis, and highest ER visits ever for rocky mtn tick fever in Arkansas last year.

I talk to people on Wall Street every day. I have heard some belly aching about the President from time to time, but I have literally not once heard a single person say they regret voting for Trump or, "gee, if only Kamala had won, we would be so much better off." Bloomberg News laments any of the advances our country is making for fear that they might reflect well on the @POTUS and all their news is reported through a lens of severe TDS. bloomberg.com/features/2026-…
