I'm not saying it's a good parallel because those hardships should be fixed that way, I'm saying Denjis access to power was holding him back and had to be taken by force.

Saying Denji didn't "earn" this ending is weird because the point of the story being made is that he could never achieve this ending BECAUSE he would keep choosing to be Chainsaw Man if given the option.

Its not a good ending, its unearned and lazy, everything went shit, plot points didnt get adressed, denji didnt grow up then pochita deleted himself and everything people have been reading for a decade got undone, denji woke up in a parallel timeline and lived happily after
