The same two things are said repeatedly by CEOs and politicians and news media. But never at the same time. 1) AI will automate millions of jobs out of existence. 2) America must bring in unlimited H-1B's. Both cannot be true. They don't make any sense together.

@big_duca This is absolutely correct. The cost multiplier benefit for offshore teams is almost eliminated with AI. We're talking about teams of two people replacing 50, the right way to do this is in Seattle or Sunnyvale and nowhere else really.

People aren’t gonna like this. But AI makes it a very bad move to hire overseas developers. You can make a US developer turbocharged, 10x output. And they speak fluent English and no timezone issues. AI will completely eliminate outsourced dev teams.
