@Srawsome @faeriebites66 Tbh the torment I'm more thinking of is mental she has to remember everything that happened. As for going to jail she could get out of it by bringing a one wish willow to the court room and having someone make a wish with it to prove she's telling the truth.

At best maybe she tells people the truth and they think she's crazy, then she gets locked in a psych ward instead of a prison.

That's like what inspires the inciting incident.
He never even considers Sarah until he has broken Nikki beyond repair. Then suddenly he's looking to replace her.

One thing that hits me about Cazador is that Astarion spent the whole game essentially hyping him up, then you get to act 3 and his design is just a nothing burger

But he's a coward so was choosing to let Nikki face all the punishments for his actions.
She will assuredly go to jail for multiple murders and spend her life with people calling her crazy while all her friends are dead.

@faeriebites66 That last part is something I don't think a lot of people talk about. So one of them had to die to break the spell and while Nikki didn't deserve to die by any means I do wonder if being the one to have to live on being tormented by this is worse than death.

My argument against the idea that Shane only called Rose “babe” bc he was performing being straight and a good bf is that while that might be true if he went out of his way to do that for Rose who he wasn’t in love with wouldn’t he make even more effort for Ilya who he does love? 🥺

The fact that he's just an old, rich socialite (as he would be) is part of what makes Astarion's story feel real and relatable to abuse survivors.
Abusers don't look like monsters to the outside world.
