In the Qur’an, “Muslim” means anyone who submits to God—not just followers of Muhammad. So prophets like Adam, Abraham, and Jesus were all “Muslims” in that sense. Muhammad being called the “first Muslim” refers to his role within his own community and mission—not that he was the first ever.

Quran 3:52: "Jesus was a Muslim." Quran 6:163: "Muhammad is the first Muslim." Uhhh... okay, so which is it? 🤔
