It’s some time since we last sang Byrd’s evergreen Ave verum corpus. Those who’ve missed hearing this recently will not be disappointed today at 9.30 in @StAlbansCath Do come and sing some rousing hymns. And it’s COOL in the Abbey!

We’re looking forward to our choir summer barbecue tomorrow. With the current hot weather we may only need a thurible’s worth of charcoal. Perhaps a couple of sausages in a thurible is the ideal summer party accessory?

For today’s 9.30 Parish Eucharist in @StAlbansCath for Corpus Christi we’re singing Duruflé’s wonderful Tantum ergo. The Parish Orchestra will accompany the hymns and play during the service.

We've been learning some wonderful anthems to sing at the 9.30 Parish Eucharist over the next few weeks including some Bairstow, Tallis and Pearsall.
