What a football club! Highs more than made up for the lows, which are nothing in comparison to places we've been before. Onwards and upward. Hopefully we can top it next season by getting all the plaudits for playing a nice brand of football while winning nothing.

@StMirrenDaft @craig_mcleish Done the job asked of him, and part of me wants him to get the gig full time. Brought more young players into the first team which has to be our edge. Something we've missed for a few years. As long as we don't just select from the Scottish football merry go round.

Big shout out to @craig_mcleish for rising to the occasion when needed and guiding St Mirren to safety. Takes character to step up like that. Regardless of who is in the Saints' hot seat next season, I'm grateful Craig had the confidence to take charge.

Bit sick of the Stephen Robinson love in. He's deserting St Mirren in a relegation battle - after having served up some pretty turgid football for the last 2 months. Fukum.

@StMirrenDaft I'm fairly sure, back in the day, we watched St Mirren v Hamilton in the old Scottish first division on delayed transmission via Gaelic speaking BBC Alba, having avoided the score all day. To be fair, curling is pish.

Just had a mate message our WhatsApp group asking for "nae Curling updates" whilst he's at the fitba tonight as he wants to go home and watch the recording. What a time to be alive.

Imagine being Kenny McLean; you grow up desperate to play football, you graft your whole life for it but you’re never sure if you’re going to get to experience a World Cup like the one you watched your country play in as a 6 years old boy. Then, at the age of 33, an injury to a teammate means you come off the bench early on in a qualification decider, you’re seconds away from winning it, you’ve got the ball at your feet with everyone just hoping to see out the last few delicate seconds and send Scotland there, you’re on the halfway line, the keeper is scrambling back and you think “You know what; bollocks to it!” and smash it towards goal, uncorking bedlam all around you, instantly creating one of the most iconic moments in Scottish football history and becoming a hero forever more. It’s hard not to be romantic about the game.

@CairtersSMFC Whether it's right or wrong, it's just a shit experience. VAR is rubbish in general and doesn't work in football (beyond goal line tech). Waiting ages without knowing what's going on. Our fucking betamax version in Scotland is abysmal.
