@ettingermentum Depends on how you define successor. They occupied most of the same territory as the ERE at their peak, but outside of adapting a few institutions like the pronoia system, their state was constructed very differently than the ERE, before or after the Frankokratia.

Anti-Celtic-ism is just the new acceptable face of anti-Catholicism. All these criticisms of Celtic and VAR are making Britain's historically marginalised and abused Catholic population even more unsafe.

@SirWirtz @realinkybot @adamwren @dlippman The best part is they’re getting lit up on Bluesky worse than they are here lol. The advanced degree sicko libs on there can all relate to the experience of simplifying their job title when talking to non-academics and have personal animosity toward this type of pedantry.

NEW: Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed for years has publicly said that he’s a physician — but there’s overwhelming evidence that he’s had no experience as a licensed medical doctor. W/ @dlippman politico.com/news/2026/05/1…

@ettingermentum Becoming the party of “running the country like a business” by nationalizing the defense industry and pharmaceutical production because both represent massive drains on our budget

@StPaulista @adamwren @dlippman So after this came to the publics attention he published a cover story. His story checks every fucking box for the pro single-payer communist system. Poor, critical head injury, AIDS, diabetes, cell mass, OMG! Did they find the second shooter from the hill in her ass well?

@DimitriMG1 @Yehudahsi7n @hasanthehun @umichvoter Because a lot of people don’t know what an epidemiologist is or does and— I must stress this again— because he is a physician working in epidemiology. Again, why would he intentionally mislead people to think he does rounds when what he does is more impressive?

@StPaulista @Yehudahsi7n @hasanthehun @umichvoter He can say “im an epidemiologist and i graduated medical school”… is that hard to do? Because its important to be honest about your experience. El sayed is not dumb, he knows what people think when he calls himself a physician. Has he ever said he has never treated patients?

@DimitriMG1 @hasanthehun @umichvoter Go tell that to the radiologists making $400k/yr that don’t do anything in terms of direct treatment. Being a physician and knowing how to treat patients makes you uniquely valuable in public health, which deals with (among many other things) the deployment of those treatments.

@DimitriMG1 @Yehudahsi7n @hasanthehun @umichvoter Most people with advanced degrees do this because no one wants to hear the minutiae of your research/specific job tasks. Why would he be intentionally misleading people to think he does something less impressive than what he actually does?

@DimitriMG1 @Yehudahsi7n @hasanthehun @umichvoter He calls himself that because he is a physician and it’s easier for people to understand than “I have an MD but also a DPhil and mainly focus on epidemiology”. Whenever he talks about his experience at length, he goes into more detail about what he actually does.

@DimitriMG1 @hasanthehun @umichvoter By that logic, you can argue radiologists not physicians either lol. Being a physician is fundamentally about being trained to know how the body works normally, what can go wrong, and how to treat it if it does. You can (and many do) apply that skillset in research.

@StPaulista @hasanthehun @umichvoter 1. I think MDs call themselves physicians because they actually treat patients. Why would you call yourself a physician when you have never treated anyone? You can get away with it LEGALLY but everyone knows its just for the image 2. We arent talking about whats more impressive

@DimitriMG1 @hasanthehun @umichvoter 1) You sound like a pompous dick if you call yourself a “physician scientist” in public, which is why MD/PhDs call themselves physicians all the time. 2) What he did is more impressive than just treating patients! He has a DPhil from Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar!

@DimitriMG1 @hasanthehun @umichvoter Yes you do, unless you’re interning, which he did and had interactions with patients while doing so. Would you rather he use the full title for MD-PhDs (the vast majority of whom primarily do research and many of whom never get licensed), “physician-scientist”?

@keithdorejel @TrackAIPAC Idk why it’s pissing me off so much but this really is the straw the broke the camel’s back for me. It’s not even the smear itself that gets me— it’s a fucking stupid line of attack— but how coordinated it all has been and how clearly cynical it is. It’s contemptible.

Stef is actually being way too generous to @AbdulElSayed Abdul hasnt completed a residency or fellowship program. So he’s 3-7 years away from being eligible to take the medical boards. Stef - you’re FAR closer to being a practicing lawyer than Abdul is to being a practicing doc.
Stefanie Feldman@StefFeldman

I just don't understand why he wouldn't be straightforward. He went to medical school -- great! He should talk about that. He's not a physician. Signed, a J.D. who is not a lawyer
